I'm not much of a photographer even though I have an excellent Samsung and a superb Nikon that I simply cannot put my hands on, so you'll have to settle for a phone pic:

But you have been duped. It's not an entry but a prize!

This Northfield Mike Latham SFO was won by me over a year ago and I have stared deeply into its beautiful abalone covers many many times. It has only ever been a display piece for me so it's only fair that someone else has the opportunity to chicken eye and coon finger it.

Duncan, if it's alright by you, I'll let you other half pic the runner up - if she's anything like my own wife making a decision or rather picking just one is extremely difficult. I'll let her make the choice.

Thanks for all the support from the Porch, you are all great!

Paul

Wow! That's another stunner! I'm amazed at the generosity around here, I'm going to have to do another giveaway myself before too long.

I also don't envy whoever gets to pick the winners, there are going to be a LOT of excellent knives in a lot of excellent photos by the end of the month. Great contest!

This is an incredible, generous and very touching giveaway. I love all of your photos. I was thinking, what better way to enter than to post a pic of my most precious knives? These three are really the most cherished material things i have from my grandfather, who passed in 2010. He taught me some of the most important lessons in my life, and to me, his values and "spirit" are alive in these knives because he carried them very often. In fact, my grandfather was the last person to sharpen the schrade, which is razor sharp despite being rather thick! I didnt carry them for a long while because i didnt want to risk losing or wearing them out, but then it occurred to me that he'd tell me to use and appreciate them, not leave them sitting in a drawer:) Pics to come, thank you for the giveaway and goodluck to everyone!

AMAZING STUFF Paul - THANK YOU for being such a great part of the Porch!
Ok, Sue will also pick the winner of Pauls Stunning Northfield :)

Wow, that abalone is gorgeous! Both knives are incredible and thank you both for the awesome and generous giveaways. I might put a picture in later. Usually I don't participate in GAW's but I'm feeling inclined to do so with both of the prizes being absolutely stunning.

Here's my russlock and thanks for this great giveaway the porch is such a great place.

Very generous of you both, this should be a fun thread to watch! A pic of a TC seems appropriate, mine is showing some wear but is a great user.

Yeah thats a lousy photo Paul.
Can you do another one please:D

Soooo does this mean we can do 2 pics?
I've never more wanted to be runner up.
I Gave my son a red abalone muskrat for his 21st -simply beautiful. He probably took it to New Zealand
could be worse.

I had a hard time figuring out what kind of photos to take, and then I had a hard time deciding on a photo to enter. So I decided to go with this one, because I love my Sodbuster Jr, and my favorite thing about it is that it is a knife that feels like it was meant to be used and I never worry about. It's a true user.

That said, while I submit the above picture, I kind of thought that this one was a better picture, I just liked the Soddy in the Sappy.

Outstanding GAW - thank you Campbellclanman and pmew (Paul - I owe you an email message)! Good luck to everyone - some really beautiful photos already.

It's an old photo time-wise, but I don't believe that I've used it before. My twins about a year ago when they were 2 years old holding a pair of GECs. Both knives are no longer in my possession. My son is holding a 25 in Jobillo that I gifted someone, while my daughter is holding a 22 in stag that I sold to another forum member. Either of those prize knives would make a fine pair with the GEC 15 I have (my only current GEC). If I don't win one, though, that's quite alright - I already have a pretty fine pair, as you can see from my photo!

I don't have quite 30 post in traditionals yet but have been hanging around there for quite some time and have developed quite the obsession for slipjoints!

The traditional knife community on bladeforums is awesome! I'm no professional photographer as you can see took this with my iPhone 6 in my back yard! It's my favorite and only TC Barlow thus far! Though I would love to own a couple more! ;) awesome pictures guys

Nutoknives Sir
Thats a wonderful offer, but...seeing as though you haven't had a give-away of your own, I would love to participate in your first Give-away Thread, Thank you for your fantastic generosity - but the last time we had a give away- it was the give-away to end all give-away's - it got extremely busy with people coming in just like yourself Sir - lol we all joined forces to smash a evil Forum member down - who tried to overtake us - we took him down to a level where he can be controlled ( just )...but it took a great deal of people to join in, so lets keep it to TWO Knives in this give-away, but my friend- I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to seeing your Thread ( wait until there's a quiet time in give-away's- then launch yours- that way it can be given its full attention )
Take Care and Thank you.:):thumbup::thumbup:

So it DOES mean 2 entries per Australian member and perhaps members from Lord Howe Island too?Hey I don't want all the chances:D
I actually wanted to post this TC because for some reason it reminds of my Granddad RIP.
I don't know why because he wouldn't have spent that much on a knife ...or on a car for that matter.
Ive got that old haapenny from him that is 241 years old George the 2nd.
Something to do with aged look of those antique scales.

If something may lead you to think I'm addicted to Charlie's SFO, you might be right!

Thanks guys for the chance(s)!
I've vowed not to rush my entry. There are just to many great photographers around these parts.
I really look forward to seeing all the wonderful shots over the next few weeks!

P.S. Does your wife have any special interests? This has absolutely nothing to do with this thread, but HYPOTHETICALLY, if your wife was judging a photo competition is there any particular interests/ subject matter that may sway her vote? Again, this a purely hypothetical situation and has nothing to do with this thread, so I don't want no one getting no ideas. ;) :D
