GIVE-AWAY Photo competition, Waynorth Cutlery SFO -Winners announced - see post 119

Wow Duncan, what a generous Give-Away coming from a very nice member of the porch. Paul, also very generous of you to add one hell of a consolation prize!

I felt my entry should be a photo of my 2 favorite knives designed by Charlie, the TC being even more special as that was acquired in a trade with Charlie, another example of the generosity of this forum. Just so happens both are red.

Thanks again Duncan and Paul.

Duncan, you are a true gentleman, you make the forum a better place. Thank you Paul for the stunning addition and thanks to Charlie / GEC for the wonderful knives.

Wow!! This is a great GAW!!! If its not too much, I'd like to enter this one. Thank you gentlemen for your generosity and caring. I don't have great photo skills, using a cellphone, and no really beautiful knives, but I took this today out in the backyard.

After a few weeks on the hip, I think this S&S Mudbug is my favorite.

Thats a wonderful offer, but...seeing as though you haven't had a give-away of your own, I would love to participate in your first Give-away Thread, Thank you for your fantastic generosity - but the last time we had a give away- it was the give-away to end all give-away's - it got extremely busy with people coming in just like yourself Sir - lol we all joined forces to smash a evil Forum member down - who tried to overtake us - we took him down to a level where he can be controlled ( just )...but it took a great deal of people to join in, so lets keep it to TWO Knives in this give-away, but my friend- I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to seeing your Thread ( wait until there's a quiet time in give-away's- then launch yours- that way it can be given its full attention )
Take Care and Thank you.:):thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you Sir as I will take your advice and wait to do a GAW for the Folks in Traditionals as my interest are many and just wanted to give back to each Forum that I participate in, Will wait for this 1 to end and watch from my porch then will get a New GAW going for the Traditional Folks

Duncan and Paul, you are two great guys, and outstanding members here. I am honoured to count you both as friends, and since you've both been very generous to me in the past, despite the incredible nature of the knives being so kindly offered, I'd prefer to let someone else be a beneficiary of your generosity this time round

The good guys who always mention "not an entry" will automatically be included and therefore will need to follow up with a photo - or a shame list WILL ME MADE :D

This gave me some cause for concern! But only momentarily...

My lovely Sue will be the judge

Since this is a contest of skill, rather than luck, I know I haven't a prayer! :D Particularly when we have so many fine photographers here :) Since Sue is going to judge, I'm deliberately not submitting a photo of one of the many beautiful knives you've gifted me Duncan, and despite being in Sheffield, snapping away yesterday, and where the photo below is taken, I've excluded images of places with which Sue may be familiar :)

Some lovely photos already, and I'm sure there'll be many more. Good luck everyone, and thanks Duncan for the great spirit of generosity and warmth you bring to the forum. You too Paul, my friend, I know you're having a hard time at the moment after the death of your dear friend, but hope to see more of you here again soon. Thanks to both of you for a most generous giveaway

Duncan and Paul, thank you so much for the wonderful photo contest! I enjoy a chance to get a little creative once in a while.

Im going to do something a little different. A knife probably not many people have seen. A small(more like ittybitty) congress knife. I've been working late and need to get some pix outside though.

Some fantastic photos folks! Thanks for the chance. Here is my Gambler.

Not an entry for obvious reasons, Duncan, but thanks for doing this GA featuring my specials!
I look forward to the pictures as they appear!
Very generous of you!

Just sharing because I already entered but had to show me and my russlock enjoying a Chicago dog

Thank you for the generous GAW! This 79 is the first traditional knife that I bought off of the exchange and the one that fueled my obsession of these little spring backed beauties. I can't remember who sold it but thank you for fueling my love for traditional knives!

Duncan, thank you for your generosity! Thanks also to Paul for his wonderful contribution. You guys help make 'the porch' the great place that it is.

A couple of past favorites created by Charlie's efforts with Bill Howard at GEC. I bought the HJ from Charlie at the 2011 OCKA show along with an ebony version and my one-of-a-kind 'harness lifter' on the same frame - really a fine classic pattern and one we can thank Charlie for bringing to fruition!

And one that I think is among the most beautiful and graceful looking SFO's Charlie has brought us; this a killer sabre ground single blade on the 48 frame with 'peach seed' jigged bone - another great classic pattern done true to tradition.

How about I throw in a photo of the very fine 'Eric's Jack' that finds it's way into my pocket often; mine is probably the only 'polished stag' rendition shown here with a beautiful Hess Tiburon in red sambar stag, also polished.

NOT AN ENTRY, of course. :D

There have been some amazing photos so far!
Here is my addition

AND I WANT IT NOOWWAH!"

Duncan, extremely generous giveaway!
I appreciate the number of giveaways that you and the rest of the porch have/has hosted for everyone apart of this community, however your photo competitions are the best!!!
I love seeing everyone's creative abilities and the amount of fine cutlery is breath taking.

Here is my addition.

I'll give it a shot....

Todd made this knife out of coconut husk, I took the knife to the Blade Show last year and lost it.....

Not sure where? Maybe laid on the hotel room bed and lost it in the covers? And it had/has a cool number to it.... 1-2-3-4

Anyway who ever has it now, I hope they're enjoying a fine knife....:D:thumbup:
