wood, I would have to go walnut burl. Bone, I would go crazy for some super gnarly popcorn burnt stag! Like jumping up and down hootin' and hollerin' crazy!!:D Thanks a bunch for the chances in your very generous give always!

Out of respectful spite, I will not count "bone" or "jigged bone"; nor will I count "wood" or "jigged wood". :D

One or both of the following required:
1) A bone color and optionally the jigging pattern.
2) A specific type of wood.

If neither a specific type of wood or color of bone (both are fine as is additional jigging pattern) are listed I reserve the right to draw another number :D
I reserve the right to add unlimited additional restrictions and exclusions to this post as long as wise guys keep showing up ;)

wood: lignum vitae

bone: smooth chestnut brown

Smooth Black Walnut. Umm, delicious.

Peachseed jigged ebony bone.

That pattern needs to be black, or very dark, IMHO.

Thanks for the giveaways, Mike! I didn't enter the other two, but they were fun to read through. Please don't count this as an entry.

OK, I feel like I am getting the vibe of a #15 frame with a wharnie/clip or wharnie/spear pair.

This sounds like an excellent frame and blade combo! If it's possible, consider having the pulls on opposite sides to allow the blades to sit in the frame as low as possible when closed.

As far as covers go, a Barlow begs for ebony or blood red sawcut bone. If you were thinking Boy's Knife configuration, then some smooth apaloosa bone would be sweet.

Looking forward to see what you decide on.

Wood: ebony. Bone: some shade of red in cobblestone (I think that's what is called; GEC did it several years ago).

Thanks for the opportunity.

Bone: sawcut bloody red bone like the Cases from the '60's and early 70's.

Wood: Snakewood or koa or something stripey.

Wood: Arizona desert ironwood

Although Snakewood or koa would be great, I'd love a traditional made with something from my beloved desert.

Wood: Cocolobo (smooth)
Bone: Smooth (Brown) Appaloosa

Thanks for the chance, Mike.

I get the feel of a working knife, not a pretty toy, so I would personally lean towards something like this:

Sawcut chestnut bone, preferably some kind of antique bone (don't really care what kind).

For wood, I'm a fan of starting with a lighter color than ebony and letting the hand oils darken it, maybe something like a rosewood.

cocobolo and blood red bone with jigging like the 2011 forum knife:
