I think it is an awesome way to have a contest for people who don't want to be a gold member. Great idea!

Well, I think I'm in.

My wife set up a page for me years ago when i was doing a marathon for charity and I have done zero with it, don't use it and really don't understand it!

I couldn't agree more to the people that don't want to work a little to get into a GIVEAWAY contest I say thanks for buying a knife from ESEE if you have and if you have not and don't plan to then you have no business posting in this forum

Whew! I am exhausted from logging into Facebook (first time in 2 months) and with the help of my 15 year old IT Expert joining the ESEE Facebook group. Oh, the pain, the agony,....the TYPING. My recovery will be slow, but the Doctors say not to give up hope (though my chances would be greatly improved with an Izula II :D).


In all seriousness, Thanks! ESEE is the only company I know of that looks for ways to give away their products. The people involved (at least the ones on this Forum that I have seen) are second to none. I appreciate your willingness to put up with knuckleheads who think that they are owed an opportunity to recieve something for free. Thanks again for another opportunity to try out your great products and thanks for making such outstanding knives.:)
 
The responses to this thread are mind-blowing. For people who don't understand marketing, the reason a business like this would want to have a presence on Facebook is that more than 500 million people are on there and it is a great place to build an online community. Forums are also great places to build online communities and there is obviously a strong one here.

But, just as some folks who participate on forums can't seem to cope with idea of Facebook, there are plenty of people on Facebook who would never participate in a forum. I'd bet a lot of (younger) people on FB don't even know what a forum is. At the core, they are just different versions of the same thing.

It is hard for people who don't actually use FB regularly to fully understand the value. But not having a Facebook presence for a consumer-oriented company today is just nuts. Letting the online community here know about what's going on over there is good business and good manners because there are plenty of people who are cool with living in both worlds. If you don't like it, don't participate, but bitching about it is as senseless as bitching about the fact that your favorite musician is no longer putting out 8-Tracks.
 
Hey all. Well I have NO idea what I'm doing on my facebook account? I am kinda new to just what it is? But Alot of peeps know me worldwide so I hope my ESEE post tells them to Get one. Heck I'm not even sure how to check to see if I got lucky and won one? But what the heck, its fun, and Very cool of ESEE to do this for all. I think having one is a must! Have! thang. Enjoy edgy :thumbup:
 
i personally like the idea. im a cheap bastard but i will prob eventually get a gold account.

I guess I must be missing something because when I go to the facebook page and look ALL over it, I can't find where I'm suppose to enter the giveaway and I use facebook a lot. A little help guys.

Perhaps this thread should be closed to eliminate confusion?
