I have decided to do a GAW as a thanks to Bladeforums and the Traditional sub-forum. I am fairly new to the sub-forum and recently have become addicted to slip joints and other traditional folders. I am a maker myself, and wanted to offer this "Quartermaster" as a GAW. It is 7" OAL with a 3" blade. Hollow ground on 3/32" cpm154 with tapered tang. The bolsters are 416ss and has ironwood burl scales.

Rules are simple........
1) Simply put "I'm in"
2) Post a pic of your favorite traditional fixed blade you own and why it is your favorite!

The GAW ends Friday @ 8:30 pm eastern time. I will use a random number generator based on the entries.

Thank you for all the great information and support!

I'm in!

Here is a pic of my favorite fixed blade. Tough choice as I have more than a few... But I chose this one because of the design, Ironwood, and craftsmanship.

Jared Oeser EDC Muk.

That is an incredible knife, in CPM154 none the less! I'm in.

My favorite traditional fixed blade would have to be my Hess Tiburon:

Thanks for a great GAW. I'm in. This is my favorite. It's made by my friend RwFred. I like it because it's the perfect size for edc and a mini version of its larger brother. It holds a great edge and I know that RwFred put alot of love into forging this for me.

Thanks again.

Wow that is a very nice knife! I'm in!

My favorite fixed blade so far is my L.T. Wright Hunter Pro Elite. The D2 is tough, the size is excellent and the Desert Ironwood looks great. It's always at home on my belt during hunting season...unless I carry another knife of course! This is my favorite though.

I'm in.
Thanks for doing this Allen. That's a really nice Quartermaster. Here's my fav traditional fixed blade. A Fiddleback BEB Nessmuk.

Lovely knife, and a very generous giveaway, I'm in please

Favourite fixed-blade? I guess I'm going to have to say this one ;)

Very cool GAW , I'm in please.

My favorite traditional fixed blade is my EDC, the Bark River City Knife.

I'm in! Thanks for the giveaway Allen. You gave a really tough question to provide an answer for though lol.
This goes with me in my laptop bag all the time. Great little slicer for lunch and it's capable of much bigger tasks should the need arise. Fiddleback Patch in dyed curly maple and lime green pinstripe. Along with a Joufuu Scout sheath and Swonut firesteel.

Allen, thanks for the chance, it's a beautiful knife, and I'm in.

My favorite is a custom Bowie/fighter made to my specs by David Lisch, MS. Feather Damascus and amber stag, 12½" OAL.
I've owned many customs, but this is the only one made just for me, and Dave is a good friend and great guy.

Holy Cow I'm IN!!!! I've been wanting one of these since you started making and posting them, and this one is gorgeous!! I'd say my favorite fixed blade to date is my Fiddleback Runt. I got it the same time I adopted my little girl, so it's sentimental! It's the OD Green handled one that is obviously used more.

That's a very nice knife. I'm in.

This bowie is my favorite. Like Jeff's it was also built to my specifications. There is something very satisfying about having a knife custom made for you and you alone.

I'm in and thank you for the opportunity. Great looking knife! I have a weakness for desert ironwood.

It's hard to pick a favorite but this one first comes to mind. It's a Hunter pattern by Big Chris with elk shed scales in CPM-S35V. It's not fancy but has a handle that feels as good as it looks to me and has a very practical and efficient blade.

Thanks for the opportunity Allen!
I'm in.

This Schiffman is my favorite for a number of reasons but mostly it is sentimental value. Norm made this knife for my dad when I was still quite young. It is one of the few things of his I still own.

Really the only fixed knife I have. Picked this up at a gun and knife show from a maker. Tons of folders though. Not really a traditional but had to enter. That knife is sweet in the GAW.
I'm in. Thanks for the chance.

I'm in. Thanks for the chance to own a knife made in Georgia. I don't have many fixed blades but my favorite is my Randall. It's my favorite because I love the history of the company and its by far my nicest fixed blade.

Thanks for the opportunity, I'm in.

My favorite fixed knife so far is this one.

Fiddleback-Forge Bushcrafter Jr. Most comfortable knife I've ever used.

I am in!
This is my current favorite because it is truly the nicest looking knife I own. This is one of Allen Surls' own little Loveless drop point Hunter. It came from Blade Show 2015.
