This is my favorite, a Camillus that belonged to my Grandfather, a 25 year United States Navy man who survived Pearl Harbor and the rest of World War II. To me this is priceless.
I am definitely in. beautiful knife. I am posting 2 pics the old fixed blade skinner my dad gave to me when I was 10 before he died "I'm now 60" and the Holub was my father-in-laws EDC He's gone now too so the memories in these 2 knives make them very special to me. Thanks for the GAW.
I'm in.
I tried to resist, because there are so many great giveaways I'm entering these days, but I love your knife.
Not an easy call, but my favorite, assuming I can have a hatchet, a saw, and a folder with it, is the Western 71. I have a Camillus of it too.
Not too long, or broad, or narrow, or thin, or thick, but just about right. The tang is surrounded by the grip but I can see the tang is broad enough.
I'm in. My favorite is this Fiddleback Forge Monarch(the larger one of the two). I love the Ironwood handle, and I like the size and feel of the knife.
I'm in! Thanks for doing this GAW -- that's one beautiful knife.
Here's my favorite traditional fixed blade, an Ahti-made Kellam Falcon Puukko:
I love it because of its light weight, dreamy handle ergonomics, balance, and the character of the wood. It feels great in my hand, it's a pleasure to use, and it vanishes when it's on my hip.
I am in but I don't have a traditional fixed blade yet in which to call a favorite, one in mail, could be fav soon, maybe it shows up before Friday can still qualify, am scared, seems another addiction is on the horizon
I am definitely IN....
Very generous and a great initiative to see some more fixed blades here in the Trad Sub Forum - some beauties thrown into the ring already!
This is my favorite right now GEC 73 Fixed ( but can't tell you how many times I have tried to close it) Thanks ... Derek
Wow so beautiful. Incredibly generous of you. I'm in.
I don't have a proper traddy fixed blade as I couldn't afford a proper one and I didn't feel on getting a junky one just to have one around.
If kukris count, here's one I received as a wedding gift:
If they don't, maybe my Mora does (also a gift really):
I am in!
My favorite is the one at the top. It was given to me by my grandfather when I was 9. He taught me how to whittle with it. One of my most prized knives.
Thank You, Sir. I'm in for this one. Love the choice of materials, size and contoured handle.
My favorite, right now, is this one, from Bradshaw, in 52100 steel. Feels great any way you grab it, cuts extremely well and it's easy to touch up the edge.
