So , what g10 handle color is everybody ordering on the satin gladius?
I'm undecided yet..

My Blade proxy passed along my request for green linen Micarta; I don't know if they'll be contacting since that's not on their list, or go with what I asked for.

As far as the Ganza goes the only handles are listed...as far as Green linen I have no idea about that:confused::confused:

Don't hold your breath... ;):D

Not to denigrate anybody else's color choice, but of the G-10 colors listed, I really dislike Black/Blue, Black/Orange, and Black/Red for a Gladius. I have Black/Blue and Black/Orange on other knives but want a more organic-looking material for the Gladius; as a matter of fact, I'd love snakewood or some other non-dyed wood with an interesting grain pattern. I like Black/Tan on a lot of knives, but not for this. Coyote Brown/Black isn't bad, although I like either plain Black or Black/Green best. Oddly enough, the only knife that I currently have Black/Green on is a SAR-5, and it was not my favorite handle option for that knife, but I think it looks good on the Gladius.

Still, I hope I get green linen on my Blade pre-order, both for the fine grain appearance and the slightly better grip (in my opinion) that Micarta provides over smooth G-10.

I dont think you red the sale thread very well. No Gladius for you :D

Green linen hasn't been availlable on anything for quite awhile, couple of years I think. (with the only exception I know of being the Hack). Jnphares request for Green Linen for handles on a Gladius is just wishful thinking. Don't get your hopes up unnecessarily.

I couldn't afford a satin, even at blade pricing, but I am happier making my own unique one anyway as it looks well aged with the homebrew competition finish! Mine doesn't have those pretty edges or the custom shop logoes, but at an even 40 oz of double edged INFI it's a chopping beast! :D

Best of luck with that!

I felt lucky that Blue/Black was even offered as it is not as common of the currently available materials. I'm still praying a SAR 3 is offered with it!

My proxy asked what kind of handles I wanted over the phone, I said, "Green Linen", and he told me he'd pass that along. I didn't hear anything else about it, so I assumed the the order was written like that. It sounds like I should probably contact Amy to see what the status actually is.
