Nothing to be sorry about but it is what it is :) Am I attacking you somehow?

Less than $200 for the CG blade price/Ganza and $900 for the satin ??

Just because you can? I mean hell you dont have to have any reason to charge whatever but come on...... you dont see the difference?

I am really sorry that you feel this way:)

but I am gonna give you a nice warning...and EVERYONE a warning BE NICE:)

Not kidding:)

XOXO,
Amy-0

As for myself, I see the difference. But I also SEE the difference. There is a lot of work that seperates a CG blade vs a Satin blade. And the larger they are, the more work difference there is. How do you think they get those Satin blades looking so G-O-O-D.......!!

Think about it.

Best of luck to you,

Les.

For the last time, Blade price CG $597, Ganzaa price $712 for a difference of $115 dollars for the same item same work, I would even say this is low for a price difference between going to Blade and buying a ticket, meals booze so on and on.

Blade price satin $997 , Ganzaa satin price $1897 for a difference of $900 dollars for the same item same work to make, same going to Blade expense.

Do you get the difference? Mr Busse must need new shoes

I`m so glad I found the thread about the Blade prices BEFORE I paid for the satin.

Anyone that buys a satin Gladius from the Ganzaaaaaaaa got burned big time.

LETS DRINK!!!!! and forget reallity.

i'm almost afraid to get one of these... i'd end up buying a black duster and running in circles around the park, waving it over my head! squirrels and pigeons beware!! :p
super cool sword. hope to score, one day.
:D

Send Amy a email, I just turned mine down :) I`m pretty sure they would make as many as they can sell at $1897

For the last time, stop whining. We all knew what the Ganza price would be AT BLADE. MANY told others, who posted it here. Jerry did not, nor does not "NEED NEW SHOES" in the manner that you are implying. He OFFERED US A NICE DISCOUNT.

Get real...go have a drink off by yourself somewhere and get a grip.

the topic of yachts came up and j.p.morgan's neighbor said, "i understand that you own a yacht, mr. Morgan."

"yes, i do." morgan replied.
"how much does it cost to run?" his neighbor asked.
"why do you ask?" morgan inquired.
"because," his neighbor replied, "i am interested in buying one.”

“my good man,” said morgan, “if you have to ask how much it costs to run, my answer is: Don't buy one!"

no regrets !!!

Edit to add: my only regret that the editor won't let me use capital letters here!

What it shows is a lack of respect for all customers . . .

. . . Mr Busse must need new shoes . . .

YOWZA!!!!. . .

Had you paid $1897.00 for the satin finished custom Gladius, you would have received an expertly finished custom sword that should have, most assuredly, been priced much higher than $1,897.00.

Someone paying less for the same product does not, in any way, diminish the real value of the piece.

If you would like to insult me some more, feel free to call me at (419) 923-6471. I will be more than happy to take your call.

Be sure to ask for "the Janitor" with the bad shoes!

Let's Drink!!!

Could be that the blade show cost was below production cost. As in, super deal if you go to Blade, regular deal at the Ganzaa. Anyway, I got mine, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to show up with any regrets in the box.

Edited to say that I was writing this while the boss was posting, which is to say, like he said. Also.

Oh man, the Boss man had to say something on that one! There is sure a REAL reason why us die hard Busse fans are willing to spend every last penny of our hard earned money on these knives, or swords......THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY!
If you don't agree, then go buy Cold Steel knives or something, and shut up and leave the forum......again, we all here have no problem with the prices of any of our knives that we buy......
However, if you want to take those remarks back, then we might be willing to listen.....everyone makes mistakes sometimes....and if you plan on pursuing buying Busse knives, I am sure you will realize that YOU made one....a big one.

jerry, that is funny to me, it will be hard to counter that, have a happy fourth of july weekend...can i be on three way to listen to that call?

Jerry is a good man, I've had the pleasure to meet him once, and hopefully I get the pleasure to meet him a lot more. He's a down to Earth man and a good businessman, he takes care of his customers: good discounts when possible, give-a-ways, riddles for rewards, games for discounts, dinner, and takes input on new knives and suggestions on how to improve them (the KZ being the prime example).

Is the price difference between the satin Blade show special and the Ganza price a lot, yeah. But the price at the show was, from what my observations taught me, a thank you.

At dinner on Saturday, there was a slide show about the the History of Busse, taking us all the way back to the beginning. Some people on this forum and who attend Blade have been supporting Busse for 20 years. And if Jerry wants to say thank you for the support, let him choose the manner.

The Gladius is a mean peice of art, and still a good buy at $1897. Jerry, I'm sorry for not picking up a custom shop Gladius at Blade.

Jerry, thanks for everything you do, and looking forward to seeing my Combat Grade Gladius when it comes in.

Now, to go have a beer and dedicate it to Jerry and the Busse Crew.

Well to be perfectly honest, before the show, everyone speculated how much this short sword was and my guess was over $2400 based on the size, amount of work and limited quality compared to the MOAB. And to honest, I would still pay $1900 or higher for this beautiful knife. I'm pretty sure most people here feel the same way. So it's still a deal to get a hold of one of these.

LETS DRINK

Unbelievable ^^^^

I think we should all stop wasting our time talking to this one.:barf::thumbdn:

Well I think it was nice to hear from Jerry and he is sooooooooo right about the cost of the Satin Gladius should be more. Sure, it's really hurting my wallet paying for it, but I am because I KNOW that it is worth more and means more to me than the money! Thanks Jerry, for making such an awesome sword at a great price!!!:D:thumbup:

I'm right there with you Brandon, been watching your posts over the last little while, and you've pretty much been saying what I've been thinking.

By the way, I got to actually speak with Amy this morning when I paid my Ganzaa tab. I don't know if any of you guys have noticed, but Amy ROCKS. I'm not sure she gets enough respect around here.

man, what's with the bitter buzzkill antics in this thread?

i'm having some Sierra Nevada Torpedo (IPA), watching Man vs Food on the couch with my small Busse holdings (TMDSF and URRBANN GRRUDDGGE) beside me for occasional fondling. as i said above, one day i'll be swinging a Gladius around. I don't think my lady is quite as excited about it as i am but, hey, i'll always be the one to volunteer to fix the chopped salad...
Cheers, Jerry!! :thumbup::D
