Shit happens and many of us prepare for the rare occurrence of that happening. I hike with an extra jacket, a flashlight, 2 litters of water and bandage in case I break a leg. I see most people doing the same hike with no water. Shit do happen and I'm prepared.
I carry a Glock 43 most of the time. I have a +1 from Taran Tactical so I carry 8 rounds.
If I leave my place to go to the "city" I will carry my Glock 23. Protests can occur at anytime and I might find myself in the middle of one. I'm white so that's enough (sadly) to make you a target nowadays. Shit happen and I have extra magazines at hand in my car.
