Go Bag

borrommokot, not sure how much experience you have with that Prodigy, but mine won't hold an edge to save it's life. I love the design, I love the ergo... I just wish the thing would cut more than once between passes with the arkansas stone...

it's actually the LMF II . similar design i guess. Also since mine isn't the a.s.e.k. set up it's actually got the same steel as the prodigy. honestly i don't have any experience with putting it to hard use, i got it a couple months back and it's been strapped to my bob since. It does have a field sharpener on the sheath which i've heard puts a decent edge on it. It doesn't at all seem like a bad blade for the price, but honestly i'm looking to replace it with a esee-5.

Tex: Thanks so much for the list Tex! I like the orange flavor tablets! Does the Kershaw hand saw work well?

 one of the best for the money, locks closed as well as in the open position....cuts in both push & pull methods....

The tabs help with the flavor & is an electrolyte as well after using katadyn tabs to kills water bugs :D

ya might check out the camelbak tri-zip. based on this mystery ranch design. and includes the mystery ranch harness system. picked one up last yr. nice pack. im really enjoying it for day trips and overniters(on foot-not car camping..tho i like to do that too)

check out this review(from a respected bladeforum member):

That looks really good! I'll have to check that out. I wish they made it in a non-camo color. A coyote tan would be nice.

I have several bags for different application.
here is my truck bag .travel to & from Truck daily(yes only pics I have and there old)the 4 was replaced by the 5(due to window knocker outer pommel)

Is that a 5.11 Push Pack ? I've been trying to decide if that's the one for me in the last couple of days. Thanks.

I have the Mystery Ranch Dragon Slayer and I love it. Great pack. I highly recommend it. I did a small impression on the bag here on bladeforums but can't find it any more...so here are some pics:

I use an Oakley Icon 2.0 backpack. Its made of ballistic nylon and almost impossible to put a hole in. Big enough to keep everything I need in it and small enough to keep me from stuffing a bunch of unnecessary crap in it I dont need in it.

Beautiful daughter btw!

How much was the bag if you remember? And from where? Trying to weigh out my options, and which to get. My Mrs' said why not get more than one bag? She said I could load one up to carry on me readily, and she showed me some duffles from Maxpedition, which I am also considering on purchasing as well!

Do you have any pictures of the inside more closely? Could you put a shoe in there or something else for size comparison? How do the straps feel? Are they really comfy? Lastly how do the zippers hold up? I want to really compress and put as much into my bag as possible, like spare clothes, hygienic items, mre's. etc.

That's a Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon on the left. I might be able to help you get one, email me if you'd like; acisdead @ hotmail .com
