Go Large--The BF Big Folder Thread

Man you got some beautiful pieces there. Among these four, which one you like the most and why?

Well, M4 and CF are my favorite combo, so that Frankenmillie is my favorite. And it's the only one with CQI that I drilled for tip up carry so far. Once I drill out the Ti/CF S90v for tip up, it might see that M4 blade :)

The 204p is awesome though, and my previous favorite.

I just got the Fluted Ti, and its just a looker for now. Always wanted one and with the current sale it did not disappoint, what a piece!

Thanks. I got three Millies: s30v dlc/digicam, plain ti, and kw cts-204p (the only one with CQI). Was thinking about picking up kw s90v/cf/ti but then saw the discounted fluted ti with CQI. Now struggling which of these two to get (yeah I know the standard BF answer is both but $$$).

KW s90/cf/ti goes on sale for $250 a couple times now. I'd email them and ask for that price if you are considering it.

Man, I "liked" your post, but I know my wallet doesn't. Why did I have to see that S90V CF Millie? Guess it's my own fault for starting this thread. Damn, that's a gorgeous knife! What do you think of Spydercos's S90V? I've only had one in that steel, a 940-1, and thought it kinda chippy and brittle.

Spyderco is putting out a ton of S90v right now, which I bet is an indication that they mastered it. The knife I've used the most in S90v is a 484-1, and it's been great. Hard to say if I've noticed any difference between the brands, but I feel like it takes a more aggressive edge than S110v.

I had to give the sheath a good clean (don't ask) so I snapped a photo: Gerber Parabellum with PM2 for:

a) scale
and
b) to show how good I am at balancing things.

Time to start a "knife stacking" thread ;)

This thread led me to pick up a Grayman Satu. A Satu has already appeared in this thread, but it's a slightly different model (Ti/G10 vs. Ti/Ti). Here's mine with a couple of put-it-in-context shots. First, hanging out with ol' blue eyes:

It can be hard to judge just how huge this knife is without some context, so here it is next to my EDC, an Emerson CQC-7V:

Seeing them overlapped is another eye-opener:

And finally, in-hand:

This is a delightfully overbuilt titan of a knife. OAL 9 7/8", a 4 1/4" blade that's 0.195" thick, and a weight of 11.6 oz -- not a shorts knife, but surprisingly comfy in jeans. At about 9/16" thick, it's only about 1/16" thicker than my CQC-7, and the pocket clip is well-designed and perfectly positioned; it carries better than you might think.

I love it. :D
