Going clipless.. what's in your pocket?

Most of my modern folders are carried clipped. The exception is a small Sebenza, carried clipless in the CRK case. I usually have a SAK in the bottom of a pocket as a 2nd knife.

My rf pocket has a Buck 389 Canoe, Buck 301 Stockman, and a Marbles copy of the Camillus 1760 "Demo" Army utility / camp knife (The Marbles is hooked to a SAK belt clip, and hangs in my pocket. The two Buck knives are loose in that pocket. I also have a CRKT "Guppie" in LF pocket, and a Buck 110 on my belt.

Just my normal EDC. "Be Prepared" and all that ...

I've been into traditional knives lately. The large one likes to hang out in my back pocket, and the smaller ones I'll stick in my coin pocket.

Wow blues your collection of Dunlaps has grown since I last checked in. I'm really digging them!

I carry my Enzo Birk clipless, but in a pocket holster I made. And of course the traditional pocket knives I have, for those I have pocket sheaths.

I'm with you. Pocket clips ruin the ergonomics of a knife, and only make it harder to get out of and back into the pocket. I carry my Griptilian, 710, Contego, and Adamas clipless. If I was going to do something very active where I was worried about the knife falling out of my pocket, I would use a belt sheath.

I carry my wallet, phone, and keys without a clip and they stay in my pocket just fine, just like my knives do.

Whenever I get a new knife the first thing I do to make it a better knife is remove the clip.

I'm in total agreement. I take the clip off the moment I take the knife out of the box. I think clips are good for the industry though. Most guys like them. But not me. And I hate the marred spot the clip leaves on the handle. Especially on titanium. Ugh. But clips are easy enough to remove so no problem here.

My Wife sews in a knife pocket in all my jeans and dress pants. As a result most are carried clip-less,works great!

That's amazing. Can you please share pics!? Inside-out so we can see how?👍🏿😎

I have a opinel no. 8 in my rrp with a lanyard attacked to a hole i drilled. I don't know if this counts but i carry a victorinox recruit on my keychain. I have carried a jack knife in my frp a couple times. For the most part if the knife doesn't have a clip its going clip less unless it on the keychain.

Currently a Spyderco Resilience with the clip removed in a concealed carry pocket holster in my front pocket (the holster is made by UTC, cannot remember the model, but was only about $8 on Amazon). The Resilience rests tip up in the holster, cannot shift or, God forbid, open accidentally in-pocket, but pulls out easily. I like that it is very comfortable, and is very discrete.

Best wishes.
