GONCZ Titanium Knife / Flashlight continuation thread.

Maybe someone mugged him and stole his flashlght designs?

His mailboxes etc. address has been discussed before, back a zillion pages ago.

The guy with the burned up face & bleeding wounds was Goncz? Hell, I walked past him on Sunday when he had a tray full of coffee's and was heading back to the booth (I'd guess). I remember seeing him and saying to myself "Geez, what happened to him?"

:D :D

Ya know...

Hearing Stu's account has made me re-think this whole thing...

Maybe WE are to blame for Goncz's injuries...

We were the ones who kept pushing the guy to prove his claims, and all he wanted from us was approval...

He tried so hard to make a 6 billion lumen LED that it blew up in his face.

We should feel ashamed.... He was just trying to please us.....

Psyche!!

That's affirm Dave. Just to show that the MO rarely changes.

All the best,

With the anniversary of last years SHOT Show debacle of goncz flashlights/knife unveiling fast approaching I have just been reminded that no one on this end has seen much of anything regarding said products. Does anyone know if he ever got his flashlights to actually work?

goncz seems to have "dropped out". However, a check of the website reveals that it seems to have been updated in October 2004. There does not seem to be any reference to current knives. The flashlights seem to be the same as he had offered early last year with the exception being, a gold (plated?) version that is now available.

Has anyone heard or noted any recent (within the past year) activity by or from goncz or any affiliate? Any contact from the mysterious "Matt" at last years SHOT? Did he sell the company to some unsuspecting person? Has anyone encountered any of the "products" anywhere?

It seems as if he lost his Northern California (Bay area) dealer.

On a similar note; it will be interesting to see how many of last years SHOT Show flashlight manufacturers have returned this year and how many of those are still in or now out of the flashlight business.

All the very best,

Stuart

Well, you can still have a chance at one of his Pistols...

Kinda pricy, but you are owning a piece of history... :barf:

I'm sure it outshoots any gun on the market.... :D

he was seen at the last shotshow. I don't think he had a booth, he was spotted looking at the SureFire display.

Man oh man you guys SLAY ME!

I only lasted about halfway through that 53 page thread. Did I miss anything good on the "back 9"?

I would almost pay for someone to go through that whole thread (and this one) and just cut and paste onto one page the funniest wisecracks or responses y'all made to that dingaling gonzo character. Kinda like a "best of" thread... :D

I spoke with John several weeks back about doing a product review, but I haven't received anything yet.

That was not my intent. I don't have anything against John and have only spoken with him once on the phone. If and when a product shows up, I'll review it.

I caught up with the man in Brugge. He wanted me to touch his monkey.

Best of fortune with that endeavor Phil. It would be interesting as a curiosity to see if he has been able to make any improvement...

Looks as if g.b. has last looked around this forum in October 2004. I was not aware that he had visited SHOT but I had noticed that he was not an exhibitor this year. Last year must have been quite a financial drain on g.b. and his associate. Although he seems to have revamped the website, looks as if e-bay might be the next step for him.

Jon, did you actually see him at SHOT or was that a rumor?

RWS, that pic still cracks me up... :D

All the best,

Stuart
