Please form your question in intelligable english and I can respond properly. I'm tired of trying to decipher what you mean.

You still have to show/prove that I'm begging or extorting. You have no proof of this. The onus is on you to prove your allegations.

I kiss no one's ass. The only ones I give a boot in the ass are the ones who bait/flame my members of CPF. If you don't understand CPF's advertising policy what in the hell are you doing running a company? You were given a wide latitude in the beginning but eventually you wore you're welcome out. Big time.

Apparently there are the way things are and and what you perceive of the world. Please stay in your little world. It's far more entertaining.

P.S. I'd be curious as to how much bandwidth your little website burns a month. I'd laugh my ass off if you claim more than 5mb/month. I can tell you have absolutely no phucking idea what it takes to maintain a high traffic website.

I believe that you misunderstand the person in question. He's not acusing you of "begging". He has discovered via his super secret cold war connections that your "secret" job is as a "bagger" most likely with one of the supermarkets having all of the strike problems in So Cal. Becasue of all the strike problems you are now reduced to asking for "donations" from customers.

He must be correct because I am still impressed as to how he discovered my super secret position as an ultimate "plumber".

Now getting back to the origins of this thread (yes I too was diverted off course by the incessant personal attacks) I'm curious about how the alleged "titanium knife" (as mentioned in the title) has played into all of this. Probably just an excuse to post the advertising schtick on what is obviously a knife oriented forum and because of his banishment from CPF. I imagine that similar to the alleged performance of the light, it is most likely now an aluminum toothpick.

Mr. Goncz, last I checked this is Spark's forum. I see no evidence that it changed ownership. I've been here since May 1999. I will post where I want and when I want until Spark shows me the door.

Please keep up the twisted insinuations. They give me a good laugh. That is why I return to this thread. I've given up on any reasonable and cogent response from you.

Stu, I just find it amusing to be called a beggar by someone who wants $10,000 just to look at, presumably, the outside of his factory. If you want an inside tour you'll have to cough up $20,000.

Not only am I a beggar now I think I live somewhere in Amsterdam. Not entirely sure what 'canal district visitor' means. I can't wait for clarification as to where I live now. Sounds exciting since dope and prostitution are legal.

Dave. I believe that he probably has quite a lot of experience in the "canal district" and is just attempting to give you bargain directions. As you mentioned at least it's legal there. Something he seems to miss the point of. North Hollywood is not much better (as well as illegal) and it's considerably dirtier.

If a tour of the factory is going to be $10,000.00 - $20.000.00 then my advertising idea for him will have to be $50,000.00. Perhaps we can get a group discount. Actually that was just in jest. I do not want a tour.

In reality it would be satisfactory if he could just prove that he has appropriate business licensing, product liability insurance (especially with the apparent poor performance reported by some persons that have tested his products), and if he would provide validity of all of the LEO and other agencies including the “huge military contract” so that we could get some feedback from anyone else that allegedly actually uses his product. If he has a contract then he has absolutely nothing to loose and quite a bit more to gain by mentioning the contract sources. He might allege some “super secret” issues but in reality there are no agencies that would really care if he used them as an endorsement or not.

Simply put. There are no agencies (LEO or Mil) that we have been able to locate that have even heard of this guy. Still checking though.

So then regarding the alleged "titanium knife"; this individual does not make them now, does not sell them now, and the only "claim to fame" is that a PROP was used in a movie over ten years ago? So this individual allegedly used to make props? Not real knives? Perhaps a real knife maker can chime in here and advise of the feasibilty of just how well a blade made of titanium would fare in the real world and not just the fantasy world? Titanium for scales, handles, etc. but for the entire knife?

There are some blades made of titanium. Mission Knives uses heat-treatable beta titanium alloy; some other makers use more ordinary titanium alloys for limited-purpose blades. You can find more info by searching Bladeforums if you're interested.
 
Thank you Cougar. I have heard that titanium could be a "limited use" metal for blade steel. Was also a little curious as to why the original title of this thread mentions the knives but the only thing he seems to actually discuss are flashlights.

The Titanium Knife I designed it was the first to my knowledge that the whole knife including the blade was a special Titanium with a holo handle that the wall thickness is every where .100 thick and that was in 1988 before anybody was even thinking of it.

The same shape was made out of Stainless Steel 416 special Swedish alloy and SS-420.

The titanium body was aged to 48 Rc. scale and the Edge was brought to about 72 Rc. This process is propriatary and to sharpeen the knife , the stone was a Diamond to hone it.

We made also some Surgical knife out of it, but discontinued it.

There was an Article about the Titanium knife in the Blade Magazine and You may research it.

By the way The Weapons that was in The Total Recall were all fully functional and was chambered for for 9 x 19 mm. Also the knife is was original.

KNIFE MATERIAL

is a good material for punch dies and piercing punches, etc. We used many of the CPMV10 Rc. 64 and others with good characteristics, when we produced The Goncz Handcuffs.

Is dificult to find a good heat threating place for the material as is very sensitive for temperature flactuation in the proces.

From all the steels for the knifes is the best choice is SS-416 or
SS- 420 Swedish Steel or some similar from Germany by THIESEN all the other materials for garbage.

WOuld love to see the logic behind that.

ONLY way that comes even close to true would be to claim that CPM 420V is a superior alloy. ANd even there, wouldn't claim it was the best steel for knife making.

COurse, those of us who know anything about knives know there's no one best steel, as it depends on the application the knife is intended for.
 
The material CPM 420 V Never heard it. To my Knowledge dos not exist.

The CPMV 10 is a good material if You want to chop nails!!!

And You can laugh as much You want I probably know more about knifes and knife making than most of the "Knife Makers" ever will learn in couple of lifetime.

To go into details I could, but for what?
 
John, if you really think that 416 and 420 are the best knife steels then you need to spend more time cruising BladeForums. You will soon find that about the only things 416 is good for is fittings such as bolsters, ferrules, guards, and buttcaps. 420 is a better material for making liners and frames for folders out of than it is for making blades. Both of these steels are however good for dive knives, because of their high corrosion resistance. When it comes to knife blades, to consider either one of these steels as being better than 3V shows a distinct lack of knowledge in this area on your part.
