Goncz Titanium Knife / Flashlights

If we we're to take him seriously; as in ask a serious question and expect a serious reply, I'd ask something like "Goncz, where did you get your lumen ratings for your new lights?" But doing so will bring acusations of begging, working for the competition (he really thinks he's competition for someone), lack of knowledge in lights, ad nauseum.

I think from the same place or at least using the same methods we already took apart and blew it to pieces with the 600 lumens 2 cell incandescent :rolleyes: or was it 900 lumens even :p

This statement again is just so much out-of-this world that he only can suck in some total newbies using such wild advertising claims - the only thing making me shake my head in disbelief is that it seems there isn´t anything protecting US citizens from such - at least the guy is still doing the same over and over without getting prosecuted.

I don't have an interest in meeting with you on some side street or dark alley, Goncz. Firstly, I don't trust you. Secondly, if that were to happen, you and I could get hurt and then probably arrested.

You were too angry when you wrote this post. Calm down and let's just leave all this fun stuff in this thread where it belongs.

It seems he can´t pay his PR guy anymore - back to the usual routine we go - insults instead of answering product related questions - but Mr. Goncz - listen careful - if you can show me ONE anti-american post I ever did I would even show you some nice modifications - make that improvements - to your M3 flashlight - and maybe even how it can be modded to be some nice host for a LED. No inflated claims though. :D

He was provoked, but I believe Goncz violated BF rules (for about the nth time) Maybe the mods will do something this time instead of letting it slide.
 
Actually, this thread has been a very useful learning tool for me. Not because of anything added by Goncz, but because of all the comments made by others. I know a heck of a lot more about what are realistic performance claims for flashlights and what aren't.

Goncz really does go off the deep end every once in awhile. I wonder if he isn't a little manic and forgets to take his medication?
 
Those type meds are adjusted by altering the voltage and amperage and duration of pulses. They would really save time by just whanging that dial up to full tilt boogie till his hair started smoking and leave it there for a day or two..
 
I don't want to seem like I'm wishy washy here but, I re-read my post on page 31 of this thread several times and I may have been a little too hard on Goncz with my comments which come off as being somewhat mean spirited on my part.

As DaveH said, this probably provoked Goncz enough to suggest a physical confrontation.

I did like the turn-around of John...
Heck, I might even have sprung the $ 14.- for the extention to see if adding another battery would make his light worthwhile...
The way it stands now, I can only say that his choice of bulb wasn't the best... It is very yellow, compared to other, simular 3 cell lights. :( (I do like his reflector ;) )

Resuming to personal attacks is a nono in my book though. :(
Although John still has a lot to learn regarding flashlights, his initial design does show potential...
I just wish he is willing to accept critics, and act rightly upon them. If so, his lights may well be worthwhile to look at.

You should know by now I'm not out here to bash you or your lights, just as others . ;) but a little clearancy would definately help. ;) :D I know by experiene that you are able to rationally tell the difference between baiting and asking a valid question. You are not a fool... Why expose yourself as one?

I'm sure that I was not missed too much during my absence. However, it is great to be back and in catching up on my most important reading ;) it was very heart warming to notice everyone getting into the attitude preferred for the season. :)

Very unfortunate that g.b. has chosen to inflame the discourse and go sideways yet again. It truly would be very fortunate for all if this could be kept to just the facts but then again the "facts" are really just opinions and this whole thread has (as so many others have pointed out) simply become nothing more than entertainment. For a more Bohemian stage of the entertainment possibilities just log onto the playground for me "Bastid Bros" :cool: and let it all fly....

I agree with those above who protest the vile and disrespectful nature of gb's responses. However, I agree with the Mods' who believe it more of a service to other individuals who have not yet had the pleasure of an encounter with g.b.

RWS, I do not believe that your comments on Pg. 31 were necessarily "mean spirited" but a wise observation as to the overall situation regarding this "thread" and just your opinion. It might be wise to take those "terrorist threats" :rolleyes: seriously and report "suspicious behavior" to the appropriate authorities. :D

All in all why don't we all just keep this on a light note and offer g.b. our apologies, deepest respect, heartfelt thanks, and appreciation for what he provides to at the very least...myself. I for one, am willing to offer g.b. the very best wishes for the remainder of the holidays. Please keep us apprised of the results of your most recent developments and adventures.

I for one, require some recuperation, a long hot shower, a Scotch, and an Opus-X. Cheers to you all gentlemen!!!!

I personally see no benefit to letting a deranged individual make physical threats on other forum members just because it has been too long between therapy sessions. I have to differ on keeping him around for comedic relief or for new forumites to discover his penchant for accusing all of being commies if they ask a question. How long do we wait? Till he does commit physical violence on somebody for their comments. John Goncz just leave, don't let the doorknob hit you on the way out.

Maybe I'll hire some airport security to sit in front of my house and remind them that even the fat funny looking guy with the red suit and white beard, shouting "HO HO HO", gets a cavity search before entering my house.:D

I think Goncz was probably just blowing off steam after getting ganged up on by me and a few others. Considering I'm the one he wants to meet, If our paths ever do cross, I'll be more than glad to introduce myself to him. I suspect our meeting would turn out civil at that point.

black bart. I agree. Well said . We have one less really bad guy out there,thats a good start. Peace on Earth. We all need to try harder.I still think he needs to up his meds.
