Good edc/work folder under 70 bucks

Actually, that never happened:

You don't have to make up stories about what you've owned or not owned. You'll get better responses if you just be honest with folks.
the heat treat did happen, my friend did have messed up scales, i have owned a tenacious a skyline a leek a buck 110 and a victorinox multi tool

I'm not sure if they've been mentioned already but the spyderco frn ukpk's seem to be a great value and they're made in colorado too!

iv just bene looking at cold steel recon 1 and ak 47, cause im really leaning more towards a hard use knife incase it needs to be used hard

I don't think monkeymam was serious either ;)

My suggestion would be to handle the knife personally before buying, specially if it's meant for work. You might find Buck 110 is very comfortable in hand. Based on my liking best of my Navy k631, spyderco design is really meant to work with, such as Endura (that the navy copy from). The one posted by Singularity is Paramilitary 2.

Unfortunately, the Chinese knives I recommended can be had by international shipping only. However, with 70$, you can buy 3-5 of various models to find one you like :p.

i could go and handle them before i get them but i want a good idea before i drive a hour and a half away to the only place around me that deals alot of knives.

Coldsteel Voyagers might be a better choice than Recon, in term of slicing, especially the flat ground clip point. Powenoodle and Philwar did a review, sometime back.

The Tanto is a large, which is plenty big enough. It also fits better in hand. The XL above it is fun to fart around with but not really practical.

well i gota carry it with me and nj knife law is pretty strict about 4 inches

i cut boxes plastic boxes and plastic wrapping.. i want a good easy opening and closing knife, that i can edc too

whats the blade length on these? cause nj is hard on their laws and if its even over 4 inches a tiny bit they fine the shit outa u

Large voyagers are specified as 4". Recon 1 also 4", and same as Hold Out II. However, the measurement of 4" might be different.
Hold Out II is shortest, as the 4" is from end of handle up to tip.
What's NJ specified measurement method?

from where the blade begins, even if it doesnt have a edge on it.

so basiclly from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade

buck 110 is a 4 inch blade, actually i think its classified as shorter, but i was out before and friend was acting like a moron and got us in trouble, when they checked the knife the way they measured it it was 4.1 so i got a warning and a 1st offence fine of 75$

so id prefer my blade to be like 3-3 3/4 if you know anything that fits my needs for that size (dont gota be cold steel can be any brand)
