I saw some people recommended "God Bless America", and I have to agree. It was a great movie, it's currently on Netflix I think. If you enjoy that one, you may want to look into "Super". It has Dwight from "The Office" in it. It's sort of in the same vein as God Bless America, only he becomes a Super Hero. It was kind of overshadowed by "Kickass" which came out around the same time and had a similar story.
Snatch is a good one about two detectives, a mobster, some blubbering thugs, an old russian who never dies, and a hitman all trying to get some diamonds. Jason Statham, Brad Pitt as a Gypsy boxer, can't remember the others.
Cronicas or Chronicles with John Lequizamo was pretty good. You did not watch it thinking, "this is great!" But I found myself thinking about it for days.
Well I almost put this in the "Great bad movies" thread but I remember it being pretty good (I was 16ish when I saw it). Suburbia, made in 1984 http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0086589/
If you like punk music you should check it out, I never was that into it but liked the movie
