Got my M4 Wharcliffe Sebenza Blade!!! Pics included!

Interesting idea..........

The blade is a little too big for the rest of the knife though, just does not look balanced at all.

Like many others have said, the looks don't do anything for me, but I suppose I could get used to it like my Spydies have grown on me over time. From a functionality point of view it's probably really good.

Ugly as all hell, but I'd still buy it. My newest addition, Spyderco Gayle Bradley, has gotten me to love M4.

Personally, it makes me think of a baby-Gayle Bradley. I really don't care for the aesthetics of it, but hey - unless you try something you'll never know how it works out. Bravo for the effort.

Now if someone could do make a M4 blade with a profile more like a Regular Seb along with a thumbstud better than the current pointy one, then that would be interesting.:D

Looks like some of the older Spyderco models.

Too bad they didn't put the hole closer to the cutout. The hump wouldn't have been so pronounced, and the lines would have been better I think.

The hump provides a good thumb ramp for better control and makes your hand less likely to slip forward.

I love this mod. It changes the two things I don't like about the regular sebenza. The opening hole is one. The much higher performing steel is the other. I'm one that still believes the S30V at low RC's ( RC 58-59) is a step down from the older BG42 blades. The CPM M4 is a step up performance wise from that even, except corrosion resistance which I place little value in. I've gonnen along with carbon & alloy steels very well. Grew up with them, in fact, so stainless steels aren't at all necessessary to me.

As far as the looks? As long as it's not painted pink I'm fine with it.

Very nice mod. A large improvement to my way of looking at it.

I happen to like pink on my knives it does not make me any more or less manly. I own an all pink izula. The handle is wrapped with orange and purple para cord. I love it.

I think this modified Sebenza would look interesting if the handles were anodized in a purple blue like swirl with pink scales like the color on the pink Native or neon green. I wouldn't mind one scale neon and the other pink. I like mirror polished blades too.

But that is my tastes and I am aware a lot of people don't share them. After lots of use I am not sure how pretty it would look or how long it would take for the finish to wear.

Its what Steelsnob wanted but....Not For Me.

The left hand and the right hand just Couldnt Get Together...too bad.

A different handle might have made a Big Difference.

Go for it Steelsnob! That's one ugly blade. I'd rather have a Captain but that's me.

Yeah, right......

I bet everybody from Hinderer to Strider are rethinking their no-hump designs thanks to your brilliant insight.

Face it, it's damn ugly.

That knife is way beyond my current knife budget, but I really like it! It reminds me of the old Terzoula designed Spyderco except it has a framelock.

The blade shape is great, but I don't like the hump/hole, and I hate sebenza handles. But if it is what you wanted, that all one can ask for!
