Got one...

Your correct, she doesn't cooperate with that part just yet either. However, she's not gun shy and will tackle anything I shoot. So, were working on the other steps. DM

Here's this mornings adventure. DM

My daughter dropped her first deer, a healthy 115 lb doe, over the weekend in South Texas. It was a great hunt!

Gutted and skinned with my 3 dot 112 I've had 30 years and boned with the ergo hunter boning knife!

Thanks Casey. Thats a great one! In all my years hunting whitetail in TX. the heaviest doe I've Ever seen tipped the scales at 64lbs. field dressed. Your daughter"s is a whopper! Food plots and feeding will give those big bodies. Did she get blood on her hand and then wiped her face?
Here's my 112 drop point, paperstone with S30V blade at work. After the way it handled this job I wouldn't hesitate to use it to skin a Deer. DM

David,
She did use the .223. She shoots it very well! My hunting buddy rubbed the deer blood on her as part of our ritual for the kids when they get their first deer!

I'll bet she really liked that! *##@ Did you make her take a bite of it's liver as well? Still, a big doe. DM

Hehe...no, she didn't take a bite out of any organs!

I figure this doe would have been about 95 pounds dressed. A toad for sure.
