Have a Grayman Satu inbound!! Anyone own one? I cant wait to get this bad boy!!!

You better put up pics immediately bro and not take so long if possible okay? I'm crumbling on this one and just can't let go of that kinda cash w/o a good review (not testing). Need cloes-ups with some other knives you won for scale - not the dua but more common ones and ergos, lock-up, blade centering the whole shmear.

I really want a pic of the blade next to some other knives - not sure of your colllection though. It seems like a ZT 0200/0300 had a baby and it grew up bigger and with more exaggerated features than both of them.

What a beast - I can buy one with some pece of mind with a decent review and comparison pics. I hope you've made a good score and will be waiting for your new Satu! :D

PM mew if you start a new thread on it okay?

Got the Satu today!! Wow! I knew it was big but gdamn this suckers BIG!! Cziv it is a BEAST! I promise I will take pics and post as soon as I can! Trying to think of a folder to try to compare it to size wise?? Hmmm.....? I like this knife! Its like a folder on steroids! :D

Pics or it didn't happen.:)

I just receive a Dua yesterday. I have heard really great things about them so I decided to try one.

The fit and finish is excellent, better than a Strider but not as good as my Chris Reeve knives. The blade is perfectly centered and the lock up is perfect with. O blade play in any direction.

It came with the "working edge" as previously described. I'll admit the it would. It shave hair or cleanly push cut newspaper the Dua slices through cardboard and climbing rope easily. However, I decided I would try to put a sharper edge on it. After about 15 minutes on a Sharpmaker and strop it will shave and push cut newspaper. My take is if you don't like the edge you can change it easily.

This is a very sturdy knife and I'm looking forward to using it hard to see how well it holds up. One note, the blade is not 3" it's about 3 1/8 inches. If you have legal restrictions to a three inch blades keep this in mind. Couple of pictures below. Sorry for the bad quality.

Congrats man! You got yourself one heck of a knife!! I love mine!! They are built very well!! Fit and finish is right up there!! I want Mike to do a carbon fiber Dua. I just got the CF Satu, its just sick! Beautiful! Grayman is the shizzle :D

Hey guys, I just got a dua yesterday and it is tight! What was the breakin period for this guy and do you have any advice on how to speed it up?

Btw I really like the working edge, all in all great finish and fit. Not quite a Seb but for $100 less I don't expect it to be.

Nice man! I would just open and close it when you re like sitting around watching football or whatever. Mine got really smooth after just doing that for awhile. if u have any questions email the Graymans! They will get back to you promptly. Perhaps they have a breakin tip 4 u? The knife will grow on you! And you will realize how well it is made. I dont think theres a better knife out there for $255.

Looks like some very well built knives made in the good Ol' USA. I think we should definitley give them the benefit of doubt and first handle one
to really see how the knife works as a whole. Looks like their putting out a quality product for a very good deal compared to folders with the
same materials and design. And an edge is easy enough to change to however you see fit. So not a real big deal there. I would like to see one
up close broken down to see the internals.

I'm not too concerned about the edge. It looks like something I can adjust if I need to. Does anyone have pics of the Dua compared to other popular 3 inch knives? Maybe a Small Sebenza, Delica, PT etc. It would be good to get a better idea. I'm tempted by this. Also are there any hotspots on the knife? How does it feel in different grips?

Finally I am curious to know if the lockbar was carbidized for wear. I'm tempted by this blade.

I can snap some 3" comparison pics in the am. Some of those questions i wud email Grayman on.

Some new info posted on Graymans site about their style edge! Most info i ve seen yet about it! And a couple good links as well!! I gotta say that i ve owned my Duas the longest now and they seem to get better with time. They are as smooth as any of my Sebs! I love them! I have an extensive collection and for some reason I often EDC a Dua. My vote for knife of the year! If you dont own one your missing out on a killer knife at a killer price!! Ok i ll shut up now, ya ll know I love them already!!

Looks like Grayman put some beauties up for sale!! Some CF black coated blades!! I think they re a limited run of like 20 so get em while they re hot!! I will be getting one! Graymans rock!! Been EDC ing for months. These things get better with time! Smooth as silk like a Sebbie! If you re a knife nut and dont have one of these bad boys get one!!

Best value out there!! One bad ass knife for the money! They shud be charging like 100 more compared to what these other guys r chargin! Grayman rocks!

anyone have a grayman and an acies2 for comparison?

i have an acies2 and think its great....is this one equally great?

i will probably get the grayman dua carbon fiber

Saw that these have bladeplay issues. Anybody had those problems? I like the looks but not crazy about putting that much cash into a folder that needs fixing and sharpening right out of thebox. I am really on the fence with the Dua.
Input appreciated.

I have an Acies2 and had a Dua.

The Dua is larger and heavier; I'd consider it a hard-use folder.

The f&f on the Acies2 is quite a bit better. But the Dua is just fine for its intended purpose.

I returned my Dua because of an issue with the lockbar. Refund was cheerfully made. The Graymans are good people.

But I loved the looks and I'm impressed enough with the Dua that I plan to order another and give it a second chance. It's a lot of knife for $255 (more for the CF, G10 or coated versions.)
