And I have more but have to figure out why they wont fit??

With all due respect Striderco, you've made a nice review but IMHO this is not even scratching the surface of being a "test." I think you'd have to cut until you dull one of them or both blades on different media of your choice to start calling shots like blade a or blade b has the edge on this or that cutting.

That said - thanks for sharing your experience with the Grayman Dua. I was going to buy the Satu but the blade was dumb looking to me and the Dua is too small. I like Grayman's edge and bet it's a lot tougher than the paces you've put it through. Richard is the man of course, the go to guy for sharp blades. :D

Striderco, you have peaked my interest big time about these grayman folders. 2 things I need his email address as I can't get it off the web site, and can someone put a caliper on the relief cut and tell me how thick it is? That relief cut looks pretty thin in the pix I've seen

The blades did dull! Rj's edge was splitting hairs beforehand and wouldnt even come close to shaving hair after! Graymans edge wouldnt shave hair before or after the test but seems to have held its stock edge pretty well! And as far as my test, sorry if it wasnt up to your standards! I did ask days ahead of time for suggestions!! If I came on here acting like a know it all I would accept criticism but I was totally open that I am no knife expert, i have little sharpening knowledge, all I am is a knife nut with a crap load of knives and a collection that most could only dream of!! :D

Grayman is just going old school - real old school...flint knife edges! It looks like they are putting a normal edge on it and then knapping just the edge.

I think I'd like to try the factory edge for a while, if it sucks I'll send it to RichardJ for a sharpening. He's the only person I'll trust with one of my knives.

My first and last review/test!

Striderco, I'm sorry that you're all butt-hurt about my post. First jerkits aren't allowed in General Forum due to it being spidered by search engines and Spark would like it to be "G" rated.

Second, your last post was what I was wanting to know, the condition of the blades after the test. In your next test, and I hope there will be more, is to throw in a few more comments along the way, as your test moves along. That would make it much better. Such as comparing to edge degradation. Richard's lost some steam - but what about the stock edge? That sort of thing. Sorry to hurt your feelings - let's forget it okay? :D

Cziv u didnt hurt my feelings at all. You just posted b4 I was finished posting my whole "test"! Like I said im no computer whiz and had to do it in segments like that! Perhaps rather than criticizing my "test" you could have just asked the condition of the blades post test, which I had planned on including in my conclusion anyhow. No hard feelings here man!

Some more shots of the Duas downsized by Richard J bc my dumbass couldnt figure it out!! Thanks RJ!!

I'm glad to see the stock edge given a fair shake.
I think you did a good job of comparing the edges, I'd love to see more tests (We all would :0) ).
Thank you for you effort.

Agreed! I wish like heck that the Satu had the same blade shape. I'd already be owning one. I love the shapre of that knife. It screams to be wailed on - hard user all the way.

Not sure about their heat treat numbers but Richard J did say that he thought the heat treatment was well done! Maybe Richard could elaborate on that? Longtrang definitely grab a Dua! Let us know what you think of their edge! And like you said if you dont like the stock edge send her off to the Richard J Spa for a makeover!!

Hey I am curious about that Satu as well. Let me know how close it is in size to a ZT0300 when you get it. Thanks.

I havent resharpened or even touched up my Richard J Dua since my test. Now I mentioned before that it would no longer shave hair after my test, but I would say its still pretty sharp! I managed to whittle an old drumstick into a pretty sharp spear!! Not sure of the wood but it is pretty hard whatever it is?! Im impressed! Check it out!!

if they took it up a point or 2 (or 3) on the rc scale it might hold a little better shaving sharp edge but if you need to shave real bad and lost your razor it would not take too much to get the edge back to shaving sharp again.
