Great Eastern 3 1/2" Jack

I love my Posties! My P.O. box is in a small P.O. in a farming and resort town just inside the border of Washington State. The usual counter people are two women, always helpful and with a smile for everyone, no matter how slow or busy they may be.
But when I sign the digital screen (they are not THAT rural), and they hand me one or two of one of those USPS boxes we love so much, it makes life and the half hour drive so worthwhile!
The gods of Stag smiled on my grizzly head on Friday!
I received my GEC serpentine Jack, and couldn't be happier!
What a nice knife. Great shape and size, and nicely fitted - better than average actually. Most production knives need the springs to be slightly proud when the blades are open, but this knife is virtually flush open and closed. The long pull and cut swedges definitely get your attention.
And the stag is the crowning touch! Nicely matched, with the texture scaled to the size of the knife. And while not dark right to the bolsters, it pleasantly fades to the slanted/threaded/pinched ends. Life is good!

Is the clip point blade on the #66 3-1/2" Jack the same as those on the #54 4-1/8" Big Jacks? Or does GEC make a slightly smaller blade to fit the smaller frame? The blade profile looks to be the same to me, but having only pictures to look at I'm at a loss for actual dimensions.

I'm on the fence as to whether to get a #66 Serpentine Jack, one of the new #56 Dogleg Jacks, or a #54 Moose. If the clip point blades are all the same size the decision will come down largely to handle material availability.

Edit:

Found out that the clip point blades on the #66, #56, and #53, #54, et al. are all are different sizes.

This 3-1/2" pattern is really calling to me, though. Especially in Ebony!!

Alright!! Fine!!!
You guys really suck, you know that?!?

I broke down and ordered one of these today. Tidioute with Ebony handles.

I know I'm gonna hate it. Just like all of the other GECs that I can't seem to stop buying.

Stupid quality. . . stupid 1095 blades. . . stupid nice handle material. . .

Yeah, I'm gonna bitch about how good this blade is until I can finally hand it off to a grandkid and get rid of it 45 years from now.

Dadgumit, I feel I'm weakening...

:D

I'm also curious if the Ivory Acrylic will change color over time. Anyone have any experience with GEC's Ivory Acrylic? Either way, it looks like this pattern is a winner no matter which handle material you choose.
