Wondering when I'd see all three together. Very nice.

I got a request if someone could help out, I would really appreciate it. Anyone have a 61 with wharnie/coping? I would like to see the coping lined up with a few other models secondary knives to get an idea on size. It looks to be of decent size but still curious how big it actually is. Thanks in advance.

Three Northfield UN-X-LD single blades, plus a custom, with different pulls on all four.

They certainly are! On the subject of pulls, this knife has peerless build, feels super in the hand but the pull is monsta even for me who likes a strong spring. So here it is undergoing "Stress Test" some weeks now but no sign of progress....Thanks, Will.

does anyone have a shot of the new spearpoint & wharncliffe #92's in comparison to the original #92 spear? The blades of new ones look a little shorter from photos, but I can't tell without a direct comparison shot. It would be nice to see proportions of all together.

Hi,
Can anyone help me out with a comparison photo of a Northwoods Norfolk and a GEC #09 esquire? I have a nice ebony Norfolk fresh off the exchange and I'm shopping for an esquire but I'm I'd like to compare it to the Norfolk if I could.

Thanks in advance

edit: or if you could line up an esquire with a Vic Cadet it would help too

Some GEC pen knives with acrylic covers. First up, #09 Esquire with White Pearl Acrylic, followed by a #33 Conductor with Tortoise Shell, the new #66 Slim Jack with Grey Pearl Acrylic, and a #68 White Owl with Kryptonite Acrylic. The #66 and #68 are very similar in size and thickness although the blade on the #66 makes it feel smaller, especially compared to the spear on the #68. The #33 has the same blade length but with a narrower frame and the #09 is very small :)

Fine shots and very instructive as usual Trand, thanks.

I'm an acrylic enthusiast myself and have the Tortoise Conductor ( a prized knife) the Krptonite Owl (Clip) and waiting eagerly for the grey pearl Slim. I think that 66 Slim will be a first-rater user for me, low joints single-spring. Well, that Esquire is microscopic! I was thinking about one as some of the acrylics looked unusual but in the end I feared it was too small to be credible, tidy knife mind.

Regards, Will

Thanks Will, I'm sure you'll be happy when you get it!! The #09 is small and has a good strength spring for it size. You've gotta be careful when closing the main blade as it feels like it'll jump lol. I got the #09 because I felt there would be situations in the future where I would need a knife with less than 2" blades.

That's a beautiful knife Will, I hope you can get it to pull like you want it too. Nice!

Thanks very much! It's still causing major opening & closing....problems  Nothing seems to tame it down, the pull must be 9.25 at least and the snap! :D It's been sitting on those corks for weeks with an open close workout from time to time. Pity as it is a beauty and has no finish issues at all, since I live in Europe I don't want to go through the rigmarole of sending it back to GEC. Maybe it's just an icon to be looked at but not touched....

Regards, Will

If its definitely going to be a user that you won't sell... how about some home mods? I have a 2 blade ebony #73 that I started carrying again a couple of weeks ago where both blades were easily 9s and I had to be careful so my thumb nail doesn't bend back (I'd have to stop 1 out of 3 times so it didn't). It was just too much and took a way from enjoyment of using the knife. Well, now both blades are 7.5-8s for me and easy to use. Oiling the joint helped (and I'm sure you've already done that) but what I found to be more helpful is taking the square edge off of the tang that touches the spring when opening the blade to half stop. I got a set of small diamond files like below and rounded the tang slightly while the blades were open (very carefully!!! so you don't cut yourself but also to minimize any shavings from falling in the handle) after rounding a little bit, flush it out with oil and try again. The spring is still tough and the knife has great snap but the blade no longer has to overcome so much tension to open. I'm not sure this is the best way to do it but this is the 2nd knife that I've done it to and it helped me a lot. Both of those I knives I never plan to sell. Also, if I screwed up and messed up the knife, I did not expect GEC to warranty the knife. Just a thought.

rinos, you always did have coolest knife and laynard combination. I love the trio of 72s.

I'd like to request a shot of a GEC Missouri Trader #42 and a Northwoods Madison Barlow…

I'm interested in a shot of the knives in closed position, a comparison of the blade, and a comparison of the butt end of the knife.

Many thanks in advanced!

Anyone able to post a comparison pic of the new 66 slim with a Northwoods Presidential and/or Vic 93mm - farmer or pioneer? Like to see comparable thicknesses and blade lengths if possible.
Thanks in advance!
