Great Eastern Cutlery ( GEC ) group shots / photo requests

I would like to see your pix, if you have them of a GEC 2011 Rendezvous Knife, the 46 Whaler with Smooth Ivory Bone Scales with "scrimshaw". There were 30 of these made, they disappeared in 3 days and on the 2nd day they were already at auction for a very hefty price. I think this knife will eventually be the most sought after GEC piece and a key to any serious collection. If you have 'em, let's see 'em! PLEASE!

I didn't know there were any 33s with a coping blade and WITHOUT a bail. Very nice pair.
Yep, they were part of the same SFO. GEC also made 1 production run in buffalo horn with coping blade and without bail. It was a Tidioute though.

Just wondering if anyone could put up a pic of a #54 Big Jack compared with either a: 92, 55, 15, 48, or 85

Thanks,
Jake

Thanks! After seeing your's in stag I really wanted one and began searching, I also didn't know they made them without a bail. Came across this one and picked it up, very glad I did. It's a great knife with some wonderful Ebony.

Was just wondering if you found the Big Jack too big or impractical to carry?

I like a fairly large knife but am unsure if this would be too big for me

Actually, I carry the stockman on the same frame, so 3 blades instead of just 2, but still with 2 backsprings. Not too big for me, but YMMV.

Thanks, Will, they only made 11 of those and I have 2 of them, one to carry and one for the collection. Here's the pretty one.

How does the large spear of the workhorse compare with the large spear on the bullet ends? A pic comparison would be great. Thx!

I'd like to know that too as I've been after a Blackwood Workhorse or some time.

I do know that the 85 Bullet End sports a fantastic Spear.

Thank you Bearsquared! As for the shot it just happened, winter doesn't make for hanging around too long....

Nice Tidioute you have there with the corset shield.

Thanks, Will

Well I think winter was very kind, that's a great pic!

Is your 85 in Primitive Bone? I hope you don't mind but I have it saved as a screen saver

Most flattering!

No it's actually Stag but I think it has a Mammoth look about it, odd really. These are a very decent pattern both as Jacks or EZ-Open, I think the 2010 Forum Knife is the ancestor of this pattern only it had a screwdriver/bottle-opener as secondary blade.

Regards, Will

I agree Will, The Tidioute is Nice! I thought at first that he mistakenly put a custom in the group.
