Great Eastern Cutlery Missouri Trader #42

Thanks! I don't know for sure, its my brother's, I will check when I get back.

Hi Ed,

Staying with my brother on miami beach. Lots of visits to south beach, ft lauderdale and different Keys :)

Having a blast!

Oops, there I go bugging you with a PM about this knife and you put a tops thread together about it!

I need to keep in the loop, mind you that leads to trouble...!

Struggle on in Miami Kevin;)

Sam

Hey Kevin, I hope you don't mind, I am planning to copy your lanyard setup :D except with hunter green paracord and of course a different bead (still haven't found any burl to whittle)

Haha thanks Sam! I'm struggling for sure!

Just made plans for a dive trip for Lou Key site.

Confucious,

Of course I don't mind. If you can't find any burl in the next few weeks I will send you the next section off this piece. I think you can find some though, and getting it from your own woods etc makes it more special in my mind. Either way, let me know if you strike out.

Cool place for a vacation. I lived over on the Gulf Coast (Venice) for years.

Don't know how much this helps but here is a pic. A freebie from the company our dad works for.

Thanks, Ed! It really is my favorite spot to vacation. My brother has lived in this area for about 5 years now. Before that he lived in the Keys. I always enjoy visiting him.

Handsome knife.
Congrats!

That looks VERY nice! Thanks for posting it up. Any thoughts of the knife ?

I am impressed with it, fit and finish are great, I had hoped the grain on the walnut would be a little more interesting but its not bad. Its a nice size knife, probably a little bigger than what I will use for EDC but not so big that I don't want to pocket carry it.

Man, those are gorgeous. I've already said that the Trapper and Trader are next on my list, but I don't know which to get first! Because I'm damn sure aiming to have both. ;) Beautiful knives, everyone.

I got number 19 in the mail today from PocketEdge. My crappy phone pics can't do it justice. A gorgeous functional tool that I can give to my grandkids someday. Opens smooth as butter, and locks up solid. I rubbed some mineral oil on the ebony and it really shines now. This is my first traditional and I couldn't be happier.

Nice snag, coop. I kept eyeballing that one and came pretty close to jumping on it myself. I'm glad you bought it before my willpower faded, especially since it's your first. It's certainly a great start!
