Grinding diagnosis/troubleshooting requested

I'll tell ya what, it is a biiiatch grinding on my 2x42, but I am able to get better and better grinds on it. I hold with one hand and made a flat top mushroom out of wood to use as a push stick. It was like night and day. My grinds almost look as good as yours Paul. Keep up the great work.

I hear ya, Frank. I'm not really deathly afraid of the thing anymore, but I still I'm not wild about it and want to upgrade sooner rather than later.

I think it was Big Smitty that said earlier in the thread that he felt less control at higher grit belts and wouldn't grind past 120x. Interestingly, I kind of feel the opposite and feel most at ease once I'm at the higher grits. That may have to do with the type of belts I have...my higher grit belts are the Trizact Gator belts, and they run much smoother than my 60 and 120x belts do.
