Anyone else pre-order one of these? Thinking its just the right size for an outdoorsy fixed blade, and the customizations are pretty nice.

I'm guessing these wont be completed until sometime later this year?

They haven't started production yet (which is why you can still order one) and I'm hoping that they will ship before next winter hits.

I put an order in for one recently. I'm just going to try and forget about it and be pleasantly surprised when it does ship.

I have a GSO 6 ordered ,hoping it will be out by the end of summer, wanting to try it out for a hunting trip in early September.

There are many many other knives to be shipped before you get your GSO-6.
I kindly and gently suggest that you might be disappointed if you plan on taking it camping this summer.
For myself I think that they will be doing very well if they can get all of the starter campaign orders filled before the end of summer.

gso 6 great blade. i attached ironwood scales and blace g 10 liners with g-flex and loveless bolts. this made it heavier but allowed me to shape it to my hand. its a great blade. bought as a factory second in 2014. i reccomend. pics in the fan club.

Is the length pretty perfect for batoning and general outdoorsy adventuring? I dont have a good blade for that (or anything over 4"), so I ordered the 6 thinking it would be an awesome wilderness/camping knife.

I think you will be very pleased. I used my new 5.1 this weekend which is basically the same knife with an added choil and was very happy with it!

I love my 6, the perfect size for all around camp knife.
