I love reate almost got one just not willing to spend that money on that knife yet. They dont hold the value the price demands on the trade market yet.

You can lollygag, suppress it, and evade it all you want, but eventually everyone realizes they needed a big ol' titanium sword the whole time.

Hmm. Were I buying an art knife, I might go this direction:

WE Knife Company Limited 720A Elijah Isham Zeta Flipper 3.66" M390 Satin Blade, Carbon Fiber and Titanium Handles

4.1 ounces
flipper
frame lock
About 80 cents shy of three hundred buckaroonies on a couple of different sites.

Does the big honkin titanium sword fold? Otherwise it's not fitting into my spandex socks for discreet carry.

Normally you would duct-tape the sword to your back under a T-shirt for discreet carry.

If you're so worried about the value on the secondary market then why the hell are you even looking to buy a new knife?o_O
New knives and new technology come out every year. Just like electronics. New better ect... I have 2 knives I will never trade because they have my name on it and they where gifts. Other than that I enjoy buying trading and selling them. Why the hell do we all have to do things the way you want? LOL Were all different. The reate knives are very heavy compared to the industries higher end knives. I would personlly buy it just to to fidget and play with the flipper. But for everyday carry I have a dozen lighter higher quality knives that would outperform and approx half the weight. I think they charge to much for what they offer right now. Just my personal opinion. For example I just purchased a Koenig that is half the weight and higher end materials (Fact not opinion) for same price of a Reate I like. Dont get me wrong I like them Ive considered them there just double the price what they should be for what they offer. The resale signifies the markets demand for something and holds a value or not. If you buy a Reate today most of the line will sell for half. Thats not a smart buy in my book. We all can disagree its just my personal experience. If you payed full price for yours enjoy. Im just not jumping on that bus yet.
