A whole lotta good looking sharp stuff, JackThanks OG, here's my regular razor, not too much different to the one I started out withI do find the open-comb on the one I was gifted gives an even smoother shave though

Grand shotI'm glad you liked my synopsis. I was feeling a bit ridiculous about it.
The cards are a little small and a little pretty, but clear to read.
Somebody used to sell packs of cards retired by Vegas casinos after a few shuffles. Those were nice.

Both sides are extraordinary, Gary. Nice pics with the leaves.I like the stag on both sides of it, but I definitely prefer the pile side:

Great picture of your DamLamb, Jack. I hope your Sunday is as peaceful as that picture.
...
Are those mushrooms? They are pretty and kind of scary looking. But your Lambsfoot looks great in that picture.![]()

Excellent enlarged ebony, Jack; I always enjoy your pics with watery background!
Thanks for your kind remarks on my random posts.
Thanks for the info, José; that oak trunk complements the wavy grain in your ironwood perfectly!
Thanks, José.I agree with your opinion, and here's a pair of comparison pics of my Cracker Jack. I like the stag on both sides of it, but I definitely prefer the pile side:

Look out for pumas in the crevasses!
Give it a try. I've used it on rust spots from time to time, but I prefer patina.![]()

Thanks, GT. I was in the yard and it just struck me as a photo opportunity.
My '19 is so shiny, I thought it would look cool against a rusty backdrop.![]()
Thanks Jack. Your DamaLamb in stag is looking hale and becoming a seasoned traveller, as is mine.I've carried it so much I even had to put a new edge on it.

Have a great Sunday all.View attachment 1127047

Good morning, Guardians!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Mother's Day!
Good Morning Guardians. I’ve kept up with reading the posts and giving likes, but with the breakneck pace, I took a little break. I actually started reading a book again. As of late, I’ve taken a deep dive into English History. My goodness. How fascinating.
Thank you all for letting me be a part of this group.
Here’s the book I’ve started with

Thanks, Gary. Pretty exciting season so far. Hoping for a sweep of the Rangers today. Hope Altuve won't be out long, but they have lots of stars right now.Cool pic of your topographic ironwood, Vince!Congrats on your Astros' season so far!
Kind of a slow start, but they're living up to expectations now. (Same description fits the Cubs, for whom I root. My other team, the Tigers, is far exceeding my expectations so far by just staying near .500.
)
Lovely knife. Looks like a good book. May look for that myself.Good Morning Guardians. I’ve kept up with reading the posts and giving likes, but with the breakneck pace, I took a little break. The Smothers Brothers are hilarious! They had a variety show or two, but also had a series where Tom played an angel (My Brother the Angel). Hadn't seen it in decades. That's hilarious Rachel, I had never heard of the Smothers Brothers, had to look them up!![]()

Thanks a lot DaveWell, my friend, that's a Real Lambs FootThat's a mighty fine photo of your Ironwood.
I'm sure Jack will be along later today to comment.
Thank you, Vince, and may I say that your AC always stands out. Robert Tomb’s book is a well put together book, but does take effort, because there’s so much ground to cover. Well worth the effort.Lovely knife. Looks like a good book. May look for that myself.
Thank you very much JoséWelcome to the guardians Chris, this "19" is very beautiful!!!![]()
The two hawks and the family of owls that live in my yard would be so happy!!!
Great pic of your '19 Mark![]()
Morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a great weekend, and that you all have a perfect Sunday![]()

Thanks, Jack!Thank you my friendHere's another pic of it

Impressive David![]()
Good to hearI was boozing yesterday myself
Thank you my friend, but sadly Green's closed a few months back
There impending closure was what prompted me to buy a new razor (though my old one came from them too), and to take that photo. Apparently they still have an online presence
Great choice Adam, I hope you come to love the pattern as much as the rest of us here
Nicely said Jose![]()
While the knives they've made for us have exceeded my expectations, I cannot be too unrealistic in terms of commissioning. I hope we will see some better bone at some point though, maybe even hand-jiggedThank you Jose, the Barlows will have the SAME stag
![]()
Looking goodI hope your '18 gets to you this week, likewise the US-bound Lambsfoot prizes
![]()
Nice foto Mark...![]()
Thank you, Jose, my friend. Can't wait to see your Ebony '18. So glad your name was drawn!Good Sunday for everyone, while I'm waiting for "18" (it's near, near, near...), here's another photo of "19"!!!

Love the shot with the mushrooms, Chin.
What a great pic, John! A different perspective of your grain and just stunning!
Thanks, GT! That was just shot outside on a page from an old "Farmers Manual" I have. I then apply a "vignette" filter that darkens the edges and just ended up with that effect. So, a total accident, lol! Some posts that caught my eye early last week.
Superb photo, John!Good to see Sköll on his feet again for a wood chip stroll.
Yikes! Sköll has gone over to the Dark Side!
Astute observation, John! Now that you've pointed it out, I agree that it's cool.
Looks good enough to eat, Vince!
Top-flight pic of an outstanding knife, Ron!!
Dwight, I don't know how you are at basketball, but when it comes to knife photography, you're an elite shooter!!
Congrats on the new horn lambsfoot, @southriv; that knife rocks!!What hobbies do you like the lambsfoot for?
I always enjoy seeing that instantly-recognizable horn lambsfoot, David!
IMHO, that's much better than a great pic and crappy cheese!Looking good, Taylor!
Thanks for the info, OG!Later in the thread, I saw some discussion of mountain lions, and it struck me that mountain lions are like sofas, in the sense that each has a plethora of different names.
Sofa, couch, settee, love seat, davenport, divan, daybed, chesterfield, chaise lounge, futon
Mountain lion, puma, cougar, panther, painter, catamount.
Heavenly horn, José!
Another sensational pic of your knife, Mark! How did you light that shot?
Amazingly effective Flitz blitz, Taylor!
Stunning stag, Rachel!I agree that Flitz isn't necessary, or even desirable, but I think I might try it sometime just to get the first-hand experience of removing patina.
Thanks, John.
Love the dialogue, Vince!

No trick photography here, my friend! That's the twins.Great to see the pile side of your stag lambsfoot, Rachel.
Love the rich brown bark on your stag, Ron!
Mark, that pic reminds me of some kind of exotic moth!!I didn't even realize you have TWO magnificent ironwoods (or have I fallen victim to a reflection composition trick you're pulling on us?
).
Thanks for the encouraging words, Preston.
Dave & Preston, thanks for the fantastic rosewood shots!I still think my rosewood lambsfoot is my favorite, although my ebony and stag are right up there.
Cool pic of your topographic ironwood, Vince!Congrats on your Astros' season so far!
Kind of a slow start, but they're living up to expectations now. (Same description fits the Cubs, for whom I root. My other team, the Tigers, is far exceeding my expectations so far by just staying near .500.

Thanks for the Dr. Who retrospective, Jer!Great pic of Old Toffee Wings!
The Blood of the Lambsfoot!!
Looks like a dignified detective is investigating in a damp, dangerous atmosphere!
Wonderful photos, José!What and enchanting (enchanted??) castle!
Eye-popping ebony and environment, Dave!!
Vibrant and venerable lambsfoot, OG!
Congrats on the sublime ironwood, Chris, and welcome to the Guardians!
Jack & Dwight, those stag damascus lambsfoots are pinnacles of the cutlers' art!!
Heart-stopping handle on your knife, WDJ!!
Good to see you here, Chin! That's an edge on your lambsfoot to which I can aspire!!
I hope you have plenty of pleasure pursuing your piscatorial passion this season, John!
Great pic!Somehow, I never thought of Sköll as a "roses for Mom" kind of wolf.
