Thanks John :)

That's an idea! :D my youngest Son is over there somewhere on holiday as we speak. Look what came in the mail yesterday, now that my wife and I are retired we find ourselves asking " What day is it"? :p

Really? I could have mailed it to him! :D I often find myself asking the same question Dave, and I'm not even retired! :D

Just having a liquorice snack with my afternoon cuppa ;)

Strangely, I have found that Sheffield cutlers rarely seem to carry a pocket knife. That was true of the young cutler who made our Hartshead Barlows until recently. He liked the pattern so much, he decided he wanted one for himself. I not only like the idea he wanted one of our knives to carry, but that it is almost certainly the first knife he has made with steel liners and bolsters (Wright's ordinarily using brass and nickel silver respectively). He decided he wanted to fancy his Barlow up a bit with a file-worked back-spring and coined liners, and he made one for me too, which he presented me as a gift :)

That is truly a beautiful Barlow Jack! Absolutely killer stag my friend! It is flattering that he would choose one to drop into his own pocket. It just stands as a fine example of the skill level this young cutler has attained. I might add Jack, that it is certainly due in no small way to you and the Guardians editions you have commissioned. All this has helped to insure a profitable business future for Wright’s and many more fine knives for all of us who love the pattern! :)

My Barlow’s are somewhere between Queens New York and SE Tennessee. Hopefully they will arrive in a couple of days! Until they do luckily I have a few more to enjoy! Y’all have a great day! :D

Duncan, I am glad that you are home safely and found all in order. I am surprised that you did not take a day's break on the way home to deal with jet lag.

Jack, that is a magnificent barlow with the file work. I am jealous. Now, if only my lambs foot with firework would only get here from Sheffield, so I can enjoy the craftsmanship. My time will come!

ebony to the rescue  I used to think the Wharncliffe was simply the best a fella could carry, that all changed once I discovered the lambsfoot

Too useful not to use :)

Great line-up Vince :)

Thanks a lot Ron, I think he has learned from our knives, much better than churning out the stoock Wright's patterns every day, nice though those knives are

Gorgeous horn there :)

They must have worked, I saw him today, and he was right as rain! :D  When I first started with the prolonged cough, which was actually caused by reflux (took them 4 years to work that out), I was sucking on cough sweets to try and stop the constant coughing. Cost me a tooth :(

Thank you for the kind words my friend :) Those are great pics, and I'm glad your Barlows are getting closer :)
