Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

So excited! I just heard back from Jane at a source that shall remain nameless. My special knife order has been shipped to me. Many thanks to Jane and Michael (cutler) for their patience. When I receive it I will post pictures. It's going to be a sweet knife to add next to my HHB.

@Onebigbill - The source that shall remain nameless shipped my two yesterday - Standard Lambfoot with Buffalo Horn covers and Lambfoot with Shaped Handle with Stag covers.

Can you describe yours?

View attachment 1192413 Good morning guardians after seeing all the spam photos decided to give it a try. Haven’t had a fried spam sandwich in years. Also decided to give a lambsfoot with a pen blade a try.

I like my two-blade Lambfoot a lot. Someone said they thought the Lambfoot with Pen Blades was too bulky to carry but mine is no thicker that my Stag Hartshead and is in fact lighter due to the iron construction of the Hartshead. Of course the old saying: "To each his/her own" applies.

You've got Mail! A parcel chock full of cool Yorkshire goodies arrived from Jack :cool: Not only a beautiful HB Lambsfoot there were pamphlets on Leeds and the Yorkshire area, a bottle of the famous Henderson's Relish, buttons, pub coasters and even a specialty cushion cover for Linda.:D
This was a gift for winning the Yorkshire day contest, I believe that you will agree with me that Jack is a fine gentleman generous and caring and a good friend to all.
Thank you, Jack  :D

How cool is that Dave? Very!

This is the first day in my pocket but so far I am liking it.

Enjoying see everyone's carries today :) I had lunch with my mate, but his stomach is a bit off, so we opted for burgers in the pub, rather than Thai, as we had planned. I gave his kids their gifts from Reaper AL Reaper AL 's talented and thoughtful grandson, and they were thrilled to bits :)

It always makes me smile when kids are pleased with things that don't need batteries.
I hope your hike is going well as well as your feet showing you some mercy.

Keeping the dream alive with a little Fantasy Knife Friday musing, I present the Lamb Punch Lifter:

oH2SOeNh.jpg

With your eyes, see above a manila folder mock-up. With your heart, imagine:

- Carbon steel blades, bolsters, and liners
- Peach Seed Jigged Bone handles
- Lambsfoot main, riding on both springs, ensuring that trademark stout, reassuring pull
- Punch and Cap Lifter secondaries for performing the few tasks that the lambsfoot main would prefer not to tackle.
- Accompanied by a pin depicting a lamb hoisting a mug of rum punch in a toast (Lamb Punch Lifter... remember. :D)

Now to convince waynorth waynorth that it'd look good with a Waynorth Cutlery tang stamp. :D

... and I'll keep dreaming. Have a good weekend everyone.

Greg, you are a true visionary!
I'll take it!

Seconds ! ;):p:D

WOOO HOOO !
It's a beaut' , Dave!

I guess this can fit into the Lamb & tool theme. I have been wanting to try a leather stropping belt for my belt grinder for awhile. Well, the size I needed was back in stock at the place that I buy my knife making supplies so I pulled the trigger.

Beautiful Dan :)

Looks like great fun and a nice photo to boot.

Off to watch another high school football game...

Thanks Harvey. It was an exciting game and a nice cool evening. Perfect night to watch football.

Thanks John, glad to hear it was a great game :)

TY Ray !
I would like to make it to 50 posts in the series.
It’s becoming now a habit to always carry my lambsfoot on my walks ... getting attached to it.
I really like this knife, imperfections and all. I hope I never loose it

I sure hope not Dan, it is a lovely Lambsfoot, and it has been great to see it out and about with you, really enjoying your pics :)

Nice pic Al! :D

Well Guardians, to all who sent to me their well wishes and prayers I thank you. My heart felt prayers go out to all the others in the path of Hurricane Dorian. Made it through mostly unscathed with my trusty HHB in a slip resting comfortably in my pocket. Just had some shrubs and small trees to stake upright. Some yard debris to clean up too. But other than that my wife Kathi and I are pretty lucky to have dodged that bullet. We still have a couple of anxious months more to watch developing storms in the Atlantic. God willing we won't have to endure anything more than our normal rain storms.

Glad to hear you and Kathi are OK Bill, and I sincerely hope everyone else will be to

That sounds exciting Bill, but in line with the sub-forum guidelines, I try to keep commercial discussion out of this thread, particularly where mention is made of a dealer who does not support BF. In line with the sub-forum guidelines, I'd be grateful if you'd edit your post. Same with anyone else, tell us about the knife, not about where you bought it please

Good Morning Guardians

I have an exciting day planned...
We are going to be taking all of our belongings and packing them into boxes, so that in a couple of months we can take them back out of the boxes and put them back in the exact same places again. I think remodeling is even less fun than moving. But it will be nice when it's over.

At least I'll have a Lambsfoot in my pocket. :D

Good luck John

I feel for you John, the move we did in May, had to be the most extreme we have ever encountered in our 50 years of marriage. :)

I was thinking about moving a few years back, even started packing away a few things, I just couldn't face it in the end!

I keep telling myself... If Dave can do it, so can I :D

:D

Ed, would you kindly edit the quote in your post (see my post above) please? That dealer is not a BF-supporting dealer

Looking forward to seeing your latest acquisitions :)

Here ya go...
Lamb Fam all back together. :)

Looks like a beautiful walk, Jack!!! And a nice winning package you assembled for Dave!!
Your generosity knows no bounds!!

These boys are having a reunion. After many miles on the Ebony, I brought out the other two for a photo shoot - then back in the safe!! One can only carry and use just so many knives!!
