This is the Magpie nesting over the road, this is mum, she saw me sitting at the computer, so came over for her morning feed, this is her tapping at the door. so thought i had better throw in a photo of a Lamb Foot. Sorry, forgot, Have a good weekend all the Gaurdians:thumbsup:

... Or, a split-back whittler with lambsfoot main and punch and cap lifter secondaries would be a fantastic work and after-work knife.

One can dream... :D
You may say Greg's a dreamer,
But he's not the only one. :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Keeping the dream alive with a little Fantasy Knife Friday musing, I present the Lamb Punch Lifter:

With your eyes, see above a manila folder mock-up. With your heart, imagine:

- Carbon steel blades, bolsters, and liners
- Peach Seed Jigged Bone handles
- Lambsfoot main, riding on both springs, ensuring that trademark stout, reassuring pull
- Punch and Cap Lifter secondaries for performing the few tasks that the lambsfoot main would prefer not to tackle.
- Accompanied by a pin depicting a lamb hoisting a mug of rum punch in a toast (Lamb Punch Lifter... remember. :D)

Now to convince @waynorth that it'd look good with a Waynorth Cutlery tang stamp. :D

... and I'll keep dreaming. Have a good weekend everyone.

I would love to see that dream come thru

Well Guardians, to all who sent to me their well wishes and prayers I thank you. My heart felt prayers go out to all the others in the path of Hurricane Dorian. Made it through mostly unscathed with my trusty HHB in a slip resting comfortably in my pocket. Just had some shrubs and small trees to stake upright. Some yard debris to clean up too. But other than that my wife Kathi and I are pretty lucky to have dodged that bullet. We still have a couple of anxious months more to watch developing storms in the Atlantic. God willing we won't have to endure anything more than our normal rain storms.

I'll take it!

Good Morning Guardians

I have an exciting day planned...
We are going to be taking all of our belongings and packing them into boxes, so that in a couple of months we can take them back out of the boxes and put them back in the exact same places again. I think remodeling is even less fun than moving. But it will be nice when it's over.

At least I'll have a Lambsfoot in my pocket. :D

What a beautiful trip! Thanks for sharing!:thumbsup:

Thanks, Dennis! Glad you enjoyed the post.

Nice harvest, and great harvester!!:cool::thumbsup:
Super crop Greg, and it's made for a great pic :)

Thanks, guys! They're still sitting on my kitchen counter. I'll have to get to slicing today!

Mine today...

Very cool photo. May I ask the background material? Looks like the backside of a sheet of bubble paper, but more rigid...

I’m going to try this thanks to your inspiration. I just started fermenting some spicy dilly beans.

Cool. I hope they turn out to your liking.

It’s a deep stamp, Greg.

Nice! There have been a few examples of "REAL LAMB FOOT" stamps posted here over the years and I always think they are really great. There's something very authoritative about a solid stamp.

Grabbed a couple samples of what is one of the best tasting cakes I’ve ever had. The Confetti Cake.

Great photo. The Damascus pairs nicely with the confetti. ;)

I would love to see that dream come thru

Maybe if we all keep wishing and dreaming and click our heels three times and ... :D

I'll take it!

Great! Now we just need someone to make one for you to take!

Unless you're talking about the file folder version, which you're welcome to have for use in evangelizing its actualization. ;)

My special knife order has been shipped to me.

Congrats. Sounds like you have a treat on the way after weathering the storm. I'm glad that it ended up going OK.

I hope that the construction goes smoothly and that when you move back in you're even more delighted with the result than you dare hope. In the mean time, looks like you've got some good company to help keep the remodel stresses at bay.

Thank Greg. :)
I'm sure it will be like a new home when it's done.
I'm going to make sure I have ALL my Lambsfoot knives with me during the process.:thumbsup:

I feel for you John, the move we did in May, had to be the most extreme we have ever encountered in our 50 years of marriage. :)
