Teaberry is flavoring with cinnamon and mint, i thinkThanks for the info. Perhaps you know the answer: What the heck is "teaberry" flavor?
Hartshead and I are still waiting for Fall.

It's a mighty fine thing to have a nice new Lambsfoot waiting at home to greet you.Just got back from a family wedding in Philly. This was waiting for me when I got home. Large version with Cocobolo scales.

I know what you mean, I had to check what book it was before I replied.Sorry for my confusion (happens a lot these days)!I didn't read Kephart's book until I was an adult, and until I ordered a copy last night, I only had a PDF version. Those are great pics Kevin, and the images do bring back memories. Based upon my reading, I tried to make a knife out of a file when I was about 7, but having cut it to size, I then needed the help of my dad, and tools he had at work rather than at home. And there the project ended
I had my copy of Mason's book stolen about 25 years ago, but have just ordered a replacement
I remember Ray Mears telling me it was one of his favourite books

You can check it out here then decide if you want the hard copy.I will certainly keep this one 8n mind! Thanks!
Ed, my friend, you just need a bigger board.Dag-Nab-It!!!! I gathered all my Lambfoot knives together for a picture. Even had my Sheep Dog "Coco" help me round them up.
![]()
But when "Coco" and I got all of them over to my board, there wasn't enough room on the board for all of them. Drat!!!!
Here's a picture of the ones that would fit on the board but rest assured - there are more to see.

Maybe if I closed all the blades, these shown and the overflow will fit my board.
Glad to hear your report on the 2-blade lambsfoot, Mike....
Also enjoying getting to know this 2 blader. Pretty heavy/chunky, but rides well in the pocket and is very sturdy. Came as the dirtiest Lambsfoot I've received, but once cleaned up I have to say it's the best made I've had so far. Very well put together!![]()
Didn't realize lambs had such a vicious nature!!...
Thanks, GT, she has a little wicked streak too.
This little Lamb' bit me yesterday. It was just a nick, a gentile reminder that the tip is sharp.

Cool photo of your ironwood with the copper and turquoise, Dennis!...
This copper and turquoise was mined there, some my dad gave me years ago.

I haven't been able to see your logo for weeks, Charlie!
Hey! When I was a lad, I used to take a stick of Dentyne (and the sticks were quite small) out to the barn each evening when we milked the cows!...
I remember the cinnamon-flavoured Dentyne, which was sold here in the 70's, though I always found it a little odd
...
Such an unforgettable knife, José!
Sensational, Jon!!
Pretty impressive, ED and Coco!!Dag-Nab-It!!!! I gathered all my Lambfoot knives together for a picture. Even had my Sheep Dog "Coco" help me round them up.

Stellar stag HHB, Harvey!...
It’s the outer backside of a black dyed styrofoam container, similar to an egg container, except that this one holds raw, spicy Italian meatballs. I’m always looking around for backgrounds. I feel that an environmental portrait of a subject often makes the image fresh and more interesting. Of course I also like black backgrounds.
Thanks Gary.Glad to hear your report on the 2-blade lambsfoot, Mike.

I guess I've forgotten what the rock is that you've gone back to, but it's a great picand for reasons I don't understand triggered this song in my head:
Thanks, Jack.

I was going to guess the background was a tray from a Forest Gump style box of assorted chocolates.

Beeman clove and blackjack gum were all owned by Cadbury Adams who sold out to American chicle company who in turn sold out to mondleze a global giant who in turn sold off a lot of the gums from the 1940’s. I have been in the whole confection industry since 1978. As with all the good things the corporate giants gobble up the little manufacturers and either discontinue or sell off old time favorites

That's a bummer about your file knife project being put on extended postponement. I would be kind of hard to cut the bevels on a file knife with a file.
I'm glad you were able to pick up another copy of the Kephart and the Mason books.
Jack Black , @mitch4ging and the rest of y'all too
Another book you might like is Outdoorsman's Handbook by Clyde Ormond. There is even instructions on how to make a "lose proof" pocket knife sheath.

Beautiful pictures, guys.
You both talked me into carrying my own today.
Skoll, the wolf, gets restless if I don't take him for a walk once in a while.
Beautiful Ironwood gentlemen!I think I’ll join you for the day!
