Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks Ed. Very special because of the cutler who made it for me and the special attention I received. Not as perfectly made as some other knives I own but, like the HHB I have, it is just so special. I may trade of sell some of my other knives but I'll never part with my lambsfoot beauties. I have a lambsfoot barlow on order from a custom cutler who is a "one man show" in Sheffield and I can't wait for that one too.

I wonder if we have the same knife on order. Does it have cherry wood on the handle?

If you are talking about the "other knife" and it has a crest stamped on the bolster then I'm talking Rams Horn. Didn't like the cherry.

Ha! I've never seen that show, so maybe both. :p
That article says they changed ownership in late 2018, which explains why I hadn't seen any for sale in a long time until this year. Next, you'll have to try the clove, and teaberry flavors. ;)

I may well have to go 'Dark'! ;)

I remember the cinnamon-flavoured Dentyne, which was sold here in the 70's, though I always found it a little odd :D

That book is By Horace Kephart here is a pic with the title page. If either of you don't have it it is worth picking up.

I do have Woodcraft by Bernard S. Mason too. Jack, I am sure you will recognize these pages.

Sorry for my confusion (happens a lot these days)! :D I didn't read Kephart's book until I was an adult, and until I ordered a copy last night, I only had a PDF version. Those are great pics Kevin, and the images do bring back memories. Based upon my reading, I tried to make a knife out of a file when I was about 7, but having cut it to size, I then needed the help of my dad, and tools he had at work rather than at home. And there the project ended  I had my copy of Mason's book stolen about 25 years ago, but have just ordered a replacement :) I remember Ray Mears telling me it was one of his favourite books

Just got back from a family wedding in Philly. This was waiting for me when I got home. Large version with Cocobolo scales.

It looks good Bill, but are you sure that is cocobolo? I had to spend several thousand pounds with Wright's, and order a hundred of that (my) pattern to finally get a rat-tail bolster (which they've never previously used) out of them for the Guardian's knives, so I'm afraid your knife, nice as it is, represents one more broken promise from the company, and probably the end of my dealings with them :( I'll keep folks posted privately

My LOGO disappeared!! I'm working on it!!
