Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That knife really knocks my socks off, Dylan!

Thank you, Vince. That's some impressive ash on that cigar - I've never come close.

We should have bought them all up on the QT before starting the Guardians Dylan! ;) :D Great pics of your crimson Queen

Thank you, Jack! Some very fine pictures of your Rosewood Hartshead today.

That always seems to happen to me if I try taking a picture of a cigar!

Ha! Yeah... That's why I usually stick to taking pics of my cigars before I smoke them...

A fine Lambsfoot my friend! Great photos as usual! :D

Thank you, Ron!

I am hopelessly behind on this thread again. I hope everyone is doing well and making the best of these strange times.
Modoc ED Modoc ED I am glad to see that you are making so much progress with your recovery.

Nice shot, GT. The grain and color are fantastic on your rose wood HHB.

I was fellin fancy over the weekend so I went with the stag.

Kevin! Great to see you, my friend. I hope you are keeping well.

I think this is my best one:
It sure is, Vince. That must have taken a lot of patience.

No shortage of things to do here at Grumble Towers  Figured I'd join Ed, and drop this 'un in my pocket today, haven't carried it in a while
Lovely Hartshead at water’s image, Jack. Such a thoughtful gesture of caring for your London-stuck friend. You’re a good man, brother.

Pàdruig Pàdruig - That’s a cool shot. Love all that red contrast.

Good Evening Guardian.

Yes it did, thanks. I’m still waiting for you to whip up some toad in the hole or tatties and neeps. Maybe some bubble and squeak or treacle sponge. :D

Now, you're talking Les (though I was actually hankering for sausage, beans, and chips last night)! :D  I had neeps and tatties a couple of weeks back, but since I have a haggis in my fridge...:) I also had some impromptu bubble and squeak the other day, made with leftover mash from the day before, but didn't take a pic (forget what I had with it now). The problem I'm having is getting enough fresh vegetables to make certain dishes, as I've only been going out to get shopping about every 10 days, and I'm limited to what I can physically carry. I get bread and fruit and veg, but they're the first things to go. I've thought Of toad in the hole a number of times, but haven't been able to buy flour since this all began, and the small amount I have, I'm keeping for some pancakes, and for a blackberry crumble (still have a few frozen ones)

Thank you, Jack! Some very fine pictures of your Rosewood Hartshead today.

Trying some artsy stuff. I like this one - almost looks like the ash is casting a bit of a glow.

Sincere thanks Harvey :) That's a wonderful pic of your fabulous IXL my friend, such incredible stag  Your hotdog and fries looks mouth-watering! :)

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is managing OK, and staying positive and healthy in these difficult times :) What day, we on Wednesday?! Here's some Rosewood ;) This one is from a short run I had made up, last year I think it was, Indonesian Rosewood covers, and a polished blade :) Have a good one Guardians, take care and stay safe

Words to live by, my friend.:thumbsup:

I know. If I didn't already have a family motto I'd make that it instead. :D

Thanks David! Be glad you don’t have tornadoes my friend! :) That’s a fine looking meal!

Thanks.

I feel like I'm living in a gourmet restaurant, I get so many good meals. My wife made pork scallopini (we didn't have veal):

(There's my lambsfoot barlow, by the Mouton Cadet, of course). She's a wonderful cook. I helped a little--I put a salad together and poured the wine!

At least your being well looked after.:D:thumbsup:

I love a warm slice of banana bread slathered in butter! :D (A little sprinkle of sea salt makes it even better!)

That’s a good looking meal, David! And a condiment I don’t think I’ve ever heard of! :D

Great looking lambsfoot's there.
Branston's is a brown sauce pretty much the same as HP Sauce, which I know many on here have heard of and can even buy in North America. I boycotted HP Sauce though when they moved the production abroad.
That Secret Aardvark sauce looks familiar. I think my mate may have a couple bottles of that.

It kind of makes me wonder, though. If you broke a bone would they wait to treat it till you had gangrene?

All hospitals in the UK still treating the usual including urgent elective surgeries such as cardiac ops or cancer ops. Emergencies are being triaged and treated as usual. However car accidents are down massively, as are the usual weekend alcohol related injuries. But cycling accidents are up (we've had nice weather during our lock down). DIY accidents have gone through the roof. Mountain Rescue for England and Wales has had I think ONE call out in 3 weeks for the whole country. Injuries from domestic violence has also seen a significant rise.
Dentists are available but for emergency treatment only.
I'd assume it would be similar throughout the western world but maybe not.
Nice rifle, that must be the .44mag you bought the other day.

That's my favorite part of this whole fiasco.
Less people on the roads, more people taking walks and riding bikes.

And quiet John. I mean like 40 years ago quiet. I live within three miles of three motorways and 4 major 'A' roads and during rush hour sometimes all I've been able to hear is the birdsong, when normally there's this constant (24/7) low roar/rumble in the background.

Good evening Guardians! :) This is what we had for our evening meal. My wife and I were talking about this being a typical meal we would have had growing up. I jokingly called it “Poor folks food”!

What day, we on Wednesday?!

Lenue9V.jpg

Errr...think so. Second, or maybe third week in April. :D
Nice covers on there. I know I've been told this before but where do Wrights get their Rosewood from normally?

I've just realized how poor this photo of my walk from yesterday is. I'll post another sometime.

I actually should have called the food something like “Southern Cuisine”, David. ;) I would still be eating it even if I had money growing on trees! We’re actually still eating the same food we were before all this happened! We’re just taking more photos! ;) That’s a nice sunny photo. I’m glad you and Jack are at least having a run of nice weather! Stay safe! :D

That photo looks OK to me David, I'm glad to see you're able to get out and about still. I'm just waiting in for my long-awaited beer delivery. PART-AY! :D

Wright's get their Rosewood from Indonesia, but decades ago, it came from Africa. Last year, they found a small amount of African Rosewood in one of the factory attics, and so I was able to get some knives made up with it. It's a little darker, and more uniform in colour than the Indonesian Rosewood. I'll go and take a comparative pic shortly

Sorry Ron, I can't remember how many there were of those, but no more than 20. Thanks pal

Pretty similar, but I know a guy who ignored symptoms too long, and now he has to wait to have his heart shocked out of fibrillation until after this is over, if this is ever over, or the rules change, or I trust if the meds stop being enough.

Thanks. Yup, that's my new-to-me deer gun. I tried to take it to the range yesterday, but the road was blocked and I've been known to have unhappy results improvising on country roads. I have a plan now to approach the club from the other side, which should work, assuming I don't run into more construction that google doesn't know about.

Indeed different than the African Rosewood. But I do like the grain, it's very attractive.:thumbsup:

Must be nice to wake up to birds sounds and not rush hour. :)

Blue skies, green grass, and a Lambsfoot... what's not to like?:thumbsup:

I need to take my boy out shooting when things lighten up a bit.:thumbsup:

You've had that one a few years now haven't you Jer? Hope you manage to get to the range

Yes, the Indonesian Rosewood varies quite a bit. I've been lucky in that all mine have either been SFOs or picked out at the factory (African Rosewood on the left)

That said, some of the nicest Rosewood I've seen was on the first Wright's Lambsfoot I got, which I picked out in a hardware store, and subsequently gifted to Charlie

Good Morning Guardians
Half way through the week. :D

Looking good John :)

Well it seems to be a Rosewood Wednesday. This is one of the days Pam has to work in the office so I'm here sheltering with my Rosewood big 'un! ;) Y'all be safe out there! :D
