Very nice photo showing the difference between the two Rosewoods Jack. The Hardware store model was a very nicely figured example. I wonder what the odds of getting one like that would be today!? I’m sorta fond of my Rosewood big ’un. It’s definitely not a showpiece but she solid and dependable! Thanks for the compliments on the soup. It was very tasty indeed!Yes, the Indonesian Rosewood varies quite a bit. I've been lucky in that all mine have either been SFOs or picked out at the factory (African Rosewood on the left)

That said, some of the nicest Rosewood I've seen was on the first Wright's Lambsfoot I got, which I picked out in a hardware store, and subsequently gifted to Charlie

Vince that’s a great looking sandwich! I’ve found a Lambsfoot to be a dandy Spam slicer. Especially the big ‘uns!Taking a lunch break while working at home. Put this one to work:

All of them different but all equally beautiful.
That DOES look yummy.
So long I can't remember. I named it "Rose Beast", though, didn't I? I'll search for a clue. You've had that one a few years now haven't you Jer? Hope you manage to get to the range
Thant new sig line just might open up new and exciting doors for ya.You've inspired me to change my sig line.
Thanks Jack. I can't thank you enough for making these HHB's. A brilliant design and one I will carry and use until I wear them both down to nubs.Hello stranger!!How're you doing, how's things at NASA?
Nice pic of your Barlow Kevin

Thank you , Dylan. I am doing well, except for a shoulder injury from a bicycle crash but that will heal. I hope to be around here a bit more in the near future.Kevin! Great to see you, my friend. I hope you are keeping well.

I didn't get to the range today, but maybe tomorrow. High of 40 today and snowing all day today. It should be pretty well gone before we get below freezing tonight, and the sun's out now.
Also I had a video appointment with my doctor, which strained my technology past breaking point a couple of times.

My dog was wondering just what the heck I was doing in her regular sunbathing spot and had to come over and investigate.

Jack Black , I received Rose Beast from you in that blue soap dish on Sept 20, 2018.

Looks like my most recent Wright. Pity my grey hairs.

I'm thankful for your persistence Jack. I know you went the extra mile (miles) to provide us a bunch of quality SFO's!Thank you very much RonI think the chances of getting one like that today would be very low indeed. Another member here asked me if I could pick him one up just after, I went to the same store about 5 times, and not one of the ones they had in stock was decent. Unfortunately most of the outlets that sell these knives don't even care about quality, they don't check their stock, and they don't send anything back. A phrase I've heard from Wright's in recent times is, "You're the only one who complains." Yes I do, 20% of the Hartshead Barlows went back, because they weren't good enough. It was a pain in the backside to have to take them back, but I didn't want any knives which were second-rate. I think that firm would rather turn out second-rate goods, and sadly, they deal with people who are willing to accept it from them, or too clueless to spot the faults

I feel the same way about my Rosewood Big 'Un, it's a honest working knife, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done
Your soup sure looked tasty my friend![]()

Yes. Very odd.Oh yeah! It seems like much longer ago![]()

Pàdruig - That’s a cool shot. Love all that red contrast.

Really great picture Dylan. The colors really make the knife stand out. I see your WCLF has a nice patina starting. I've started using mine and it too is developing a nice patina. I'll get a picture of it up in the next day or two.

Probably some of the best that Wright's have ever produced at anytime in their history! It's a shame for them that they choose not to continue to do business that same way! Thanks again and stay safe!

Looking for a way to use all that flour you’ve hoarded? Sourdough Pancakes for dinner!

Rosewood featured today of course.

Jack Black - Much thanks, Jack. Your Indonesian Rosewood Lamb Foot is quite handsome, especially in its’ serene outdoor surroundings.
Half/Stop - Thank you kindly, Ron. Your Rosewood Lamb Foot has fine looking covers.
Good Evening Guardians.

Much appreciated, Jack - I've enjoyed seeing all of your Rosewood examples.

I missed the Rosewood memo today but I did bring some Ironwood out.

Dylan, no venison, only good old fashioned veggies in that soup!Thank you very much, Ron! That venison stew looks superb - the knife ain't half bad either.

I can certainly understand your statement about the process Jack!Thank you Ron, I know most folks appreciate them (the flippers are something else), and I'm glad that we all got a few nice Lambsfoot knives. While I'm very sad that we won't be getting another Guardians knife this year, I certainly won't miss the process
Morning Guardians, I think I might need to go out to buy some provisions today, I could do with some bread, and fresh fruit and vegetables, so I better go and get a shaveI hope everyone is doing OK. Stay safe and take care Guardians
