Interesting article. A shame he couldn't be compensated a little bit after exploiting his words for marketing.

I put up new posts every year.

Yeah, it wasn't cheap, but not too bad compared to a bottle of wine.

I'd call it flavorful. Reading the ingredients, it claims to have a little cayenne, and I guess I could taste a little peppery flavor but no heat. It also contains saccharine, so I imagine the recipe has been changed a few times in the last 100 years.

Considering the usual standards of the local Sheffield rag, I was surprised by how well written it was! A very sad story though, tells you a lot about Sheffield I think

Yeah, maybe they waved the spice jar at it! I don't recall it having saccharine in, I wonder if that's a recent addition?

Yorkshire beer with a Yorkshire knife.

Great photo Vince I've been struggling to get hold of any Sam Smith's, but I've got £250's worth of beer in my bathroom and hallway! And I definitely need to make several trips to the bottle-bank!

I usually avoid English lager like the plague, but this one came in one of my lucky-dip boxes, and I thought it might go well with curry

To be fair, the lager was OK, and I thought I'd have something from the same brewery for dessert Been thirsty work here today Cheers Guardians

Today I turned the mahogany blank .... ( I turned the ambrosia maple a few weeks ago ).
Still need a couple coats of tung oil, engrave the back and buff/polish.

I have to say, if I saw you coming down the aisle at the grocery store with a bandana over your face looking like a post-apocalyptic Wild West Viking, I’d probably stay out of your way.

An interesting topic ED That's weird, I think Dylan Pàdruig may have an Ironwood '19 with some of the bite marks, but I don't think they were there originally

I'll need to pull them out later but I do have some natural inclusions in the Ironwood - in my mind, it is perfectly normal. That said, I gifted one to my son and he inadvertently let our newest pup chew on it a bit so it actually does have some chew marks! . Needless to say, the knife is back in my case and care... Ironwood is hard stuff though and it will just take a little bit of buffing for it to be as good as new.


Spent some time in my backyard today, brought a few knives down with me, including this beauty.
