Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Great pic of your ebony WCLF

Thanks for the compliment Dylan! Outstanding Lambsfoot content my friend! The teeth marks just add character to that beautiful Ironwood

Thank you, fellas! I hope everyone has had a good hump day.

I really like the walk n talk it's super smooth but opens and closes with a loud clunk. That I love. The pile side almost looks ebony. Show side you can still see the grain but it's wayyyyy darker. It definitely deserves more pocket time but I'm afraid it's gonna be black soon.

I have always liked stiff pulls and an authoritative snap Taylor :) It's interesting it's gone so dark

"Back you Hordes of Hell! Back!" I'm going to have to try and remember that line! :D Cool pic :)

Thank you Jack. Great walk. Lovely Ivory Senator. I know it’s heresy, but I dig that page feeds Lamb Foot. Don’t hurt me.:D

...

Good Afternoon Guardians.

Thanks Harvey, you're a sick puppy! :D Great pic my friend, that looks like a very tasty cookie :)

I was thinkin' Jack Kirby. Come on, Les, fill us in!

Nice pic Jeff, how are you getting on with that stippling buddy, it's very distinctive?

Hello, Jack! I've been missing you! Thanks so much for thinking of me, my friend. I'm finally feeling better after the longest sickness in the history of sicknesses. Yikes.
I'm going to have to just jump in here as I fear there is no way for me to catch up on everything I missed.;)
My lovely wife asked me to refill the line in the weed whacker, then I realized we had none. Had to go old school. It just needed a little tightening.
Here it is with my trusty JB sfo Ironwood.

You too Mark, it's great to see you here, and I'm so glad you're feeling better now :) I'm not sure I've ever seen garden shears like that before, but they look pretty cool, nice photos my friend :)

Sounds like an interesting job! I worked as a transit bus driver when I was in college, got to put that RV driving experience to good use. :D

Sometimes Barrett, a lot of the time it was just dirty, dangerous, and darn hard work! o_O That sounds pretty cool though Barrett :) When I was 18 I worked in a brewery for a few months, possibly the best job I've ever had! :D

Sorry to hear that, Jack. :( I hope he’s doing better now!

I hope so too mate, Stan has had bad health since he was a kid, spending 10 years in hospital. But at least he was fed and stayed warm in the hospital, which might not have been the case at home, where his mother struggled to bring up his siblings on a widow's pension. Stan has often told me, "They said I were the runt of the litter, but I've outlived them all."

That reminds me: it’s been a while since I’ve asked if there’s anyone new who’d like to be added to Guardians Map? If so, just let me know (either here in the thread or via PM) and I'll get you added!

Thanks again for continuing to maintain this Barrett :)

Excellent photo Dylan :) Looks like a great beer too

I'll close out my day with this Jack Black Jack Black SFO Bagpipe Ebony Standard.

Here's to you Ed!

Morning Guardians, my back is still sore, but after 2 weeks, I really needed to go out to the shops, which wasn't a lot of fun as it turned out o_O No apple pie, but I did get a cherry pie :) Hope everyone has a decent day

Good morning all. Looks to be a rainy couple of days in my neck of the woods. Yesterday I went with the Ebony WCLF, so today I'm going with this one in an attempt to brighten a dreary day. Hope everyone is staying healthy and in good spirits!

That Charlie Lamb would brighten any day :)

For sure! What would make it even better is if it was currently sitting on a slice of cherry pie! I may have to venture out today on an emergency pie run ...

Glad to hear your back is on the mend.

Have a good pie run! :D

Sorry to hear that your back is still not cooperating Jack. Hope you get some relief. For me, it's 600 mg of Ibuprofen a couple of times a day (when it's sore). It works for me but then again that is after I had surgery 5 years ago o_O.

Thanks Bill, I used to take diclofenac, but had to stop taking it because of stomach problems. I have co-codomol, but don't like to take it for more than a couple of days at a time. Looks like I might have to get the whisky out again ;)

I'm very sorry to hear your back is still giving you trouble.
I guess cherry pie is a good alternative to apple, at least there's pie in the house.:thumbsup:

I second the stiff pulls and authoritative snap Jack! :D That’s one thing you can truthfully say about Wright’s. They definitely exhibit this quality! Sorry your back remains sore Jack. I’m glad you were at least able to pick up some supplies. Cherry pies are better than no pies my friend! ;) Have a great Thursday! :)

Thanks a lot John :) It's not the best cherry pie, but the only other alternative was rhubarb, of which I'm not a fan

Good Morning Guardians

That's a nice photo John :)

Good morning Guardians! I’m going Large Stag with a side of patina today! ;) I hope y’all have a great Thursday! :)

Wow Ron, what a striking patina! Have you been using your Big 'Un as a steak knife?

Thank you, Jack, I hope your whisky treatment has the desired effect. The stippling is a definite improvement, but I'm still trying to get up the nerve to add some home checkering to the smooth parts. Maybe now that it's getting warm at last, my skin won't be so dry and smooth, and I can use it more "as is."

Having some gunpowder green tea this morning in one of my favorite Yixing clay pots.

Thanks Jack! :) Your guess is close but not exactly correct! ;) It’s actually “Chili Dog Patina”! Last Saturday when we went shopping at Sam’s Club we purchased a large package of 1/4 lb Beef Franks. They are the same ones they serve in their snack bar. Sunday evening we fixed up a couple and opened a can of store bought Chili. By the time I got the mustard and chili on mine there was no way I could hold it and eat it like a normal hotdog! Sooo I used my trusty Stag Bigun and a fork to eat it with! :D

Thanks Jeff, I'm sure it won't be too unpleasant to take anyway ;) Have you practiced doing checkering at all? I imagine it could take a bit of skill, but could look pretty good, as well as helping practically

I hope you enjoyed your tea my friend :)

I think I heard somewhere that iron wood is a wood that over time darkens with use. I think I heard it last year when we were voting on cover options for the 2019 forum knife.
