But they're a fungus!
But I'm a fungi. :D

The big’un is up for a day of yard work! :D

I like the knife... not the yard work. :D
Although I do have a bit of that planned today as well. :(

Hope the yard work went OK guys. Great pic Ron :)

I hope you get to have your garden party, Jack.

Thank you Jack. A pal bringing provisions and a garden picnic. That sounds great. Cheers.

Many thanks :) I'm afraid all I got was 10 minutes, chatting on my garden wall with my unreliable pal and his eldest lad. He did pay for my groceries though

The ole Senator is taking a break back in the drawer. Ebony Big 'Un for today. Have a great weekend Guardians.

Nicely taken photo Mike :)

Everyone’s egg sandwich the other day whetted my appetite for one. No sourdough though.
I hope all of you are enjoying the weekend.

Hope you're having a good one too Les

Good Morning Guardians and anyone else looking in.

Pere David Stag "Lil-un" with shaped handle.

Faith and begorrah!

You've got the Blarney Vince! :D Cool pic

Thanks much Jack. Hope your back is feeling better. Unfortunately those sorts of things tend to take some time.

Thanks a lot Bill

Will have to pick up some whiskey today. Sláinte!

Always a good idea ;) Though I was on rum last night ;)

Hanging in there John. A minor hick up every once in awhile but it's looking good to have the feeding tube removed 15 May.

That's good news Ed, I hope it passes quickly mate

The governor is opening up North Carolina a bit and it looks like South Carolina is following suit. I'm making a liquor run to SC (much cheaper than NC where I live). Scotch is on the menu. Some Lagavulin 16 yr, Caol Ila 12 year, and Glenlivet 18 yr. Then maybe some blended Scotch for my favorite mixed drink, Rusty Nail. Since we live in the south I'll more than likely pick up some nice Bourbon too plus some vodka for my wife. Oh, I can't forget to get the Red Breast too.

Big time Rusty Nail fan here too Bill

Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to blame it on shelter-in-place brain, then. :D

:D

Baked a big miche today. HHB with me all day.

Fantastic Dave, great pics too :)

I try to match the Lambsfoot to the bread, of course.

Of course! :D

Both look great, Dave!

Must be bake with your HHB day. I had mine with me as I was on pizza duty this evening.

Mmmmmm....pizza! :) Looking good Greg :)

Lovely pic Dan :)

Relaxing with my Ashley’s Choice this evening! :D

Stunning pic Dwight

Morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a nice weekend, I know they still mean a great deal to a lot of folks. Friends who are still working tend to be working flat-out, and say they are extra glad to put their feet up. Without my Saturday hike, my weekends don't mean a lot, and I work from home anyway. Enjoy your Sunday folks, I might go out for a stroll round the neighbourhood, maybe a trip to the bottle-bank

I usually add a twist of lemon rind to my Rusty Nails. I'll have to try them with some Irish whiskey next time. I've always made mine with scotch.

I'll have to give that a try Bill, I think you're supposed to add bitters, but I never have them in. I usually double up on the whisky though ;) I came across Rusty Nails in a book as a kid, and as I liked all the ingredients, I gave one a try the first chance I got, and I've been drinking them ever since. They're currently quite fashionable again here, but for years I'd have to tell the bar-tender how to make one. I tend to use Jamesons (or Bushmills) since, here, they're only very slightly more expensive than cheap Scotch, but I've had plenty of Rusty Nails with Scotch too :) Apparently they were Oliver Reed's favourite drink! :D

Been a bit of a dull morning here weather-wise (and in every other sense really!). I had a short walk, but I'm getting kind of tired of traipsing the local streets for exercise

The yard work went well Jack! Thanks for the compliment on my AC. I got it out to share a relaxing evening after a hard day working. It’s always a treat to see your Ivory Bigun. Such a lovely Lambsfoot. Enjoy your Sunday my friend! :)

Going to plop this into my pocket later on today.

Nice photo Bill, I love the rich, deep colour of that stag

As well as yard work can go, I guess. :D

That's a silver lining. :)

Bringing out your Sunday Best, Jack.:thumbsup:

The coloring on your stag is Crazy Cool, Bill.:thumbsup:

LOL! :D We've been friends 20 years, and he's been on time ONCE in that time! Thanks John :)

Good Morning Guardians
No big Sunday plans... I'll wash my Jeep, wash my truck, and maybe I'll work in the shop for a while.

Sounds like you've got plenty to do there John :) Lovely work on that wallet my friend, I think you definitely have an alternative way of earning a living there :)

Oooh... I love mushrooms on pizza.
Too bad i'm the only one in the house who does.

I could take them or leave them, but I do think they go well with Italian sausage. Less so on my favorite: pepperoni and jalapeño peppers.

Mmmmmm....pizza! :) Looking good Greg :)

Thanks, Jack! This was week 5 of weekend homemade pizza. Time will tell if it’s a shelter-in-place comfort or a new family tradition...

At least they are charming local streets. :)

Had a real treat last night. My wife is a talented pie baker and she made a fresh blueberry pie. Yum!

It sounds like you got a lot accomplished Ron, that's always pretty satisfying :) Thanks a lot pal, you too :)

Thanks for the photos Jack! :)

A pleasure Ron :)

Earning some "pocket change" is probably a more accurate description. :D

Way back in 1991, I sent a short article to a UK outdoor publication thinking the same John. I got a reply back asking if I'd be willing to write more. I never thought that writing would turn into a profession. I know you enjoy teaching, but that's a good skill to have in reserve my friend, I'm sure you have a talent for both :) You've earned a pic! :D ;)

Great stuff Greg, I haven't made pizza for ages - I should! :D I could certainly live in a worse neighbourhood, but I wish I was closer to the countryside, it's not far, but too far to walk, or one of the larger parks here :) That blueberry pie looks delicious! Great photo Greg :)

Fab photo David :)

Beautiful picture, David.

Beautiful colors David! :)

Thanks chaps, just some flowers in my mum's garden.

The big’un is up for a day of yard work! :D
