Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Storms rolled through last night producing a lighting display like I've not saw in a long time. :( More promised for today between 2PM and 7PM with strong wind and rain and possibly quarter sized hail. Hopefully they will be wrong with the forecast. I hope all you Guardians are safe and sound today. :)

I live and learn. That's what it means over here, but I had the impression that over there they were manor houses or old houses or great houses. Not manor houses unless there was a manor, of course.
Maybe mansions are swanky houses in a city rather than a village?

Duh. I have dictionaries. I could look it up.

It's a very old word Jer, I think it comes from the Latin word manere, to remain. Manse comes from the same root I think, and I just happen to have a photo of a Lambsfoot at Harewood Castle, which is actually a fortified manse ;) :D

The remains of Sheffield Manor House, where Mary Queen of Scots was held, still stand, but I had to filch a pic from the internet ;)

It's quite simple really... We are SPOILED!

Fantastic picture, Jack.
Glad you got to get outside for a stroll. That makes the day a little better.:thumbsup:

LOL! :D THanks a lot John :)

Good Morning Guardians
I've got four hours of teaching on-line today.
Hope all my Lambsfoot Pals have a wonderful day. :)

How are you finding it John? My girlfriend has to teach online each day, seems to spend most of her time marking, no change there then  I love the pic! :D Hope your day goes well my friend :)

I eat my beans on a tortilla!

Much as I enjoyed the beans on toast, I'd gladly swap them for a good tortilla! :) I can see you're tempted! :D ;)

Thanks for the photos Jack. I'm glad you're able to get out and about a little. After eating those Beans and Toast you Better Call Saul! :D

Thanks Ron, with my back, walking about still isn't that comfortable for me, but I am going to try and get out a little more as I think a lack of exercise may have caused the problem in the first place  LOL! By coincidence I just got a new series to watch! :D

Good morning/afternoon/evening all! Great photos, love the 4th Be With You stuff, I missed it all.
Grear tour Jack!

I'll catch up after I get some gardening done, way behind outside. Feeling better than I have in a couple of months, so I'm taking advantage of it! Have a great day, All!

Thanks Dennis, that's great news pal, hope you continue to feel better :)

It's Beer o'clock here! :) Can't see I'm struck with this one much, but I'm too tight-fisted to waste it! ;)

First, you have to remember that I teach in Alternative Education, there's usually a reason they come to my school, and they aren't "good" reasons. But teaching on-line sucks, there's no connection to the students and my sarcastic humor doesn't play well when they aren't in person. The kids that tried hard throughout the year are still being successful. The kids that didn't try hard have completely disappeared. At least in person I was able to try to reach the tougher students, but there's nothing I can do on-line when they don't even log in. Can't wait to go back to work!

I hope everyone is well. Finally got caught up after the weekend - which was rather busy. I planted a couple apple trees and a bunch of raspberry bushes, cleaned out my flower beds, laid bark dust, and prepped my gardens for planting soon.

I haven't taken my daily pics yet today but here is one I didn't get around to posting on Friday.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that John, I've had a few friends who taught in similar environments. It's incredible how you are managing to adapt to teaching this way, not what you signed-up for at all, but of course, it's far from ideal. Good luck my friend

Enjoying an afternoon sausage sammich.

Yum! :) That looks delicious my friend :)

Thank you, Jack. It's been quite satisfying getting out and getting some projects done. Still not being able to really go anywhere over here, it helps keep the body busy.

My usual pocket dump as of late.

Your pic isn't showing Chuck

Definitely my friend :) We can go out here, but has to be either essential work, exercise close to home, or essential shopping

Jack Black Jack Black - Thank you for the lovely tour, Jack.

Good Afternoon Guardians.

Thanks Harvey, great pic of your JR :) That Dahliesque background would make great pyjamas! :D

Rained a little here this morning but is pretty nice this afternoon. Got a picture of the Lambsfoot in a Bradford pear tree in the back yard. These trees are very invasive and are all over this part of the country. Of course you could say honeysuckle is invasive but I am ok with that. :p We also have a good bit of kudzu around here too. Hope everyone is having a great day.
