Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

S7fP9N2.jpg

I don’t post here much, do a good bit of lurking, but today felt like a perfect day to break from the norm. Pulled my Waynorth lambsfoot out of the “safe queen” drawer and it went to the pocket for use. Also, got a new slip in yesterday. It happens to be the first one I’ve actually bought. Typically don’t carry a knife in one.

Not a Safe Queen no more.:thumbsup:

Attractive composition Les

I swear they report it "Tried to deliver" to cover their own mistakes. Hopefully you can get by for one more day. :)

I once had a courier hand me a card saying I wasn't in! He hadn't wanted to carry the package to my door! Since I thought I was going to have to stay in again today, and needed to get some supplies, I did a quick run out to a small shop, (couldn't get a lot, and had to pay through the nose for it). Then, at 7pm, the courier turned up! He told me he'd tried calling me on my mobile phone, which he hadn't o_O Since there was a bottle of rum in with my order, I then had to go and find my passport, as he said he needed to verify I was over 18, and wouldn't accept any of the other ID I had in my wallet! o_O I don't think the guy was playing with a full deck to be honest. At least I'm not waiting on them today anyway o_O

Nice day outside, 65 degrees and a light rain, my kind of weather.:thumbsup:

Nice photo too John :)

Off to Wound Care again today - Yippee!!!!! After Wound Care we're going grocery shopping and if we get disoriented, we just might have to call out for help and directions so, I'm going to be prepared for that.

Cell phone signals are spotty in this area:thumbsdown: so a compass is a must.

You've been going a lot Ed. I hope it's all going well my friend  You're a well-prepared old sailor! :D

That's hilarious but what you'd expect isn't it. I say bring back the good old days. I was watching an episode of the 'Sweeney' a couple of weeks ago, were they'd cornered the shooter in an old factory. So the 'armed response' was called in. They screech up in a MKII Cortina, two bobbies jump out, grab a couple of SMLE's off the back seat and run in. :D

LOL! :D Handgunner is worth picking up if you see any old copies, has some knife content too

Just the swayback today as I've done absolutely nothing other than mess with this thing and watch Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Welcome to the Guardians Ben, pull up a chair :) Fabulous-looking Lambsfoot and a cool new slip

Thank you Jack. Love seeing those images. They had the Spirit I admire. What a frustrating waste of your time. Hope it gets settled tomorrow.

Very nice Charlie collection.

Good Afternoon Guardians.

Thanks a lot buddy, marvellous monochrome image there :)

Good morning Guardians, I had to check what day it was when I got up this morning! Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm glad I've got my day freed up today, but having done a little shopping last night, I'm not sure I want to go to the supermarket, which is what I'd planned. I'm sure I'll find something to do anyway! :D Things are opening up again here, but it means that everywhere is much busier. We're supposed to keep six feet apart, but that's pretty nigh on impossible in a busy city. Since I work from home anyway, I'm in no hurry to start getting on crowded buses or even crowded pavements o_O Have a good day Guardians, stay safe out there

Double Lambsfoot Day! :D :)

Couple of older pics from when it was easier to get about

That sounds simply crazy!
I'm sure that Amazon is hiring anybody they can get a hold of these days.
I think that's one company that made a fortune from this situation.

Pretty hard to beat that pair.:thumbsup:

Enjoy it. You're making up for the last couple you missed. ;)

Lovely Charlie Lamb, Ron. :cool::thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians! Hope y'all are safe and sound on this Wednesday! I've got my Jigged Bone WCLF in the pocket today! :)

Thank you, Jack. :)

Hope you get a break soon mate
We are all in the process of coming up with three different plans for school next year...
Plan A: We all get to go back to school with no restrictions.
Plan B: We rotate students, some in-person and some on-line to keep social distancing.
Plan C: We are back to 100% on-line distance learning (the worst option).

I see that your Prime Minister is going to let parks start reopening so now you can go sunbathing. :D

Today was a BIG sourdough bake day for a hungry family that demands it :) ( I put about 25 % stone ground whole wheat flower for extra nutrition  )

Those look great, Dan!

It looks like our baking schedule has fallen out of sync by a day, but I also upped production and baked two loaves for the first time this morning. One for my wife and me and one for a neighbor. I should've thought to have a lambsfoot per loaf like you did, but I'd say the Hartshead counts as a bit more than one. :)

Yes, I guess he can just go sunbathing in one of the gardens the tax-payer provides for his use

Gorgeous loaves Greg  :)
I like the way you score them and the crumb looks perfect.
Something special about sourdough, just looking at the pic makes my mouth water :)
I am waiting ( for ever ) for an Amazon order of banettons, a lame and other baking supplies.

Good day Guardians :)
