Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

interesting cuff-links my friend :)
Many thanks, Jack.

I thought I'd carry my Rosewood Big 'Un today.
That Rosewood Big'un is as nice as the brewery images.

LOL! :D I know that feeling Dan! :D Nice to see you're still getting out and about :)

I am happy I am not alone Jack :D

Still getting out and about  , now everything is lush and green ( and full of mosquitoes and ticks , so we are been very careful )
Still have a few pics on my phone that I have not shared yet from early spring and is amazing to see how quickly the green foliage has filled the forests.

Cheers Guardians

It's looking good Chuck, what you got there for your background, is that an invention or modification of some kind?

Hump day carry, it's been a while ...

Very interesting to see Ed, those unpolished blades start to turn dark quick don't though?

I'm not carrying the knife in the comparison picture above - just showing it new/used. However:

Jack Black Jack Black said he was carrying his Rosewood "Big-un" today so I'll join him and carry my Rosewood "Big-un" today too.

Thanks buddy, I like this simple knife a lot :) Fabulous image of your stunning Wostenholm, love the deep stamp on the blade, and indeed, everything about it! :D

LOL! :D Spring arrived very fast here too Dan, as it did last year :) Sorry to hear about the bugs though

Hope everyone is having or has had a great Wednesday. Went to the Farmer’s Market yesterday to get some more peaches, which I did, picked up some plums too. Also got a few tomatoes as well. Hard to beat a good bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. :)

Good thinking Les ;) :D Nice photo too :)

Really? :D It's a good one, and certainly a novel take on my favourite book :)

Oh yeah, he loved it. :D

Seems like the kind of movie that would surely have something for the “traditional knives in movies” thread, but I don’t think anyone’s ever spotted/posted anything. It’s been a while since I’ve watched it myself; I might need to go back and keep a sharp eye out for traditional knives. :D

:D :D

Just having a lunchtime sandwich :)

Good morning Guardians! Around 7am I had a couple of 100 calorie high fiber English Muffins with Canadian bacon, egg, American cheese and a French roast coffee! I guess you could say I've got and International theme going this morning! ;) I'm carrying my 2017 Guardians SFO "Midnight Special" this morning. I'll show y'all a little pile side action. Be safe out there, this COVID stuff is getting scary again! :)

Always happy to see/hear that Guardians are eating well! :D Eleanor helped me make eggs-in-a-basket and crispy bacon for breakfast this morning.

When I was a teenager, South Yorkshire Transport, who ran public transport in Sheffield then, announced they were going to start playing music on the top-deck of the bus, which I remember thinking sounded like a great idea. Of course, what they actually played was the worst type of Lift Muzak, interspersed with adverts. Since they weren't very good at advertising, most of the 'jingles' were for South Yorkshire Transport themselves (even today I can still hear some of them playing in my head)! o_O The tape was on a 15 minute loop, and so on longer bus journeys, you'd be forced to listen to them all more than once. Apart from the top-deck, they also played in the bus-drivers cab, and the drivers got so sick of them, they started sabotaging the machines! It was still about 10 years before they abandoned the experiment

I worked as a transit bus driver (and then Paratransit driver) for several years starting in college. We were allowed to choose our own music when we drove, which was a great policy as a driver, but questionable if you were a passenger (depending on who was driving). :D

I have the AC with me today - it has quite the patina on it as well.

Fantastic photo, Dylan!

Just received my latest beer delivery, from West Yorkshire's Saltaire Brewery :)

Nice photos, Jack! Did you already get through all that beer you’d stocked up on last month?! ;) :D (Was that a month ago? Longer? I don’t know anymore. Time isn’t real. What month is it now anyways? :D)

I don’t think any of the local breweries around here deliver, but I’m planning on stopping by one today and picking up a couple growlers. (I was actually going to go earlier this week, but decided to wait until today because this particular brewery has been doing a discount growler promotion on certain beers every Wednesday. Unfortunately they don’t tell you what beer will be discounted until the day of, and the beer on special today isn’t one I’m interested in. No big deal, I’m still happy to support a local brewery, even at full price. :D)

Here’s a quick Lambsfoot photo I snapped this morning.

Hi Jack, the object is a Ford Transmission Range Sensor, essentially it’s a digital/analog device that tells the electronics in the vehicle by wire what gear you were in. I worked on this program years ago when I worked for a large sensors company. We went from concept to Working prototype In 90 days and concept to to pre production approval in less than one year, unheard of in the automotive industry.

Same here.
My wife wants to take a bunch of trips, but she doesn't fully understand what it does to me.
There's nothing like being half way through a long trip, and already hurting bad, makes a miserable time.
Gope you're doing OK Dennis, great pic
Thank you, Jack! Moving along!:)
Good Morning Guardians, hope everyone is doing OK :)

Wow, an impressive pair! It would be hard for a fellow to choose between the two if he just had to!;)
Going with this Lambfoot Barlow knife today. Despite some early problems (since worked out) this knife has developed some character (in my mind).;)

Glad you kept it, sure is looking good these days, Bill!:)
I'd like to see a pic of your entire flock of "Tennessee Lambs" when you've had a chance to get them all together, Ron!:thumbsup::cool: (Do you know the song "Dixie Chicken" by Little Feat? ;)
That's too much rain, Bill!
Great tunes to go along with your great posts, Gary!
If I'm not the driver, I seem to do OK on car trips; if I'm driving, I need fairly frequent stops to walk around, stretch, etc which turns out to be quite time-consuming.
It takes us about 2 1/2 days to go ~800 miles, and haven't been able to do that drive in 2 years.:thumbsdown:

mitch4ging mitch4ging - Howdy Dennis. Fine image of your Hartshead.
Thank you very much, Harvey! Growing up in a mining town in NM, I use to be a bit of a rock hound, most of them got left behind as we moved.
Good Afternoon Guardians.

Just can't go wrong with Ebony, excellent choice Ron!:)
The neighboring town has a community called 12 bridges. It used to be a old ranch and the owner had stone bridges built to cross the creeks (12 of them). As they built the community, the bridges were preserved.
They were short by 5, but the Eagles came to mind with yours and Jack's bridge stories!:thumbsup:
I was over in Taddy again last night ;)

That's a "plum" good looking photo!!:thumbsup: I usually substitute the lettuce and tomato with garden bacon!:D (but my wife will make it the "healthy" way)
