Thanks, Jack. :)
Sad story/photo of the butchers' row in Sheffield. :(

Yes indeed my friend :( That photo was actually of Butcher's Row in Leeds, all the markets of Sheffield were bulldozed some years ago, the Castle Market, built on the site of Sheffield Castle, which housed the Meat & Fish Market was the last to go :(

Thanks for the encouraging words, Jack. :) Valley Jack is a photogenic knife.
Our city buses have recently added book racks near the front of the bus as part of a cooperative program with the public library, but they don't seem to be re-stocked very frequently.

Really? In theory, I think it's a good idea. The ones here have a reasonable turnover of books, but I am yet to see one I consider worth reading though  :D When I was a teenager, South Yorkshire Transport, who ran public transport in Sheffield then, announced they were going to start playing music on the top-deck of the bus, which I remember thinking sounded like a great idea. Of course, what they actually played was the worst type of Lift Muzak, interspersed with adverts. Since they weren't very good at advertising, most of the 'jingles' were for South Yorkshire Transport themselves (even today I can still hear some of them playing in my head)! o_O The tape was on a 15 minute loop, and so on longer bus journeys, you'd be forced to listen to them all more than once. Apart from the top-deck, they also played in the bus-drivers cab, and the drivers got so sick of them, they started sabotaging the machines! It was still about 10 years before they abandoned the experiment

Not exactly rave reviews of their services! Must be very frustrating for you, Jack! :(

A lot of these rotten companies here, seem to have used the current pandemic for a further nose-dive in the quality of their services o_O

Another great pic of Valley Jack Gary :)

Thank you GT :)
It took a couple tries ( more like 4 lol ) but I was able to balance it on the rock  . Meanwhile the family is waiting so we can proceed with our walk :D

Good day Guardians

That one looks great either way Ed :)

Excellent pic David, I don't recall seeing that one before

Both absolutely beautiful Rob :)

So much for retirement eh Ron?! :D ;) I gifted my own to Peregrin Peregrin , who does so much for us here, but I was glad to own it for a little while, and to see them all. I think you really have to have them in-hand to really appreciate them :)
Jack, I had no idea of the provenance of the Midnight Special when you gifted it to me. It's one of my treasures and your generosity is much appreciated.

What’s retirement? ;) I’m throughly enjoying retirement Jack! I don’t miss all the headaches in the least! :) It’s like I said the closer you look at the Horn on the Midnight Special the deeper it looks! :)

I'd like to see a pic of your entire flock of "Tennessee Lambs" when you've had a chance to get them all together, Ron!:thumbsup::cool: (Do you know the song "Dixie Chicken" by Little Feat? ;)
)

Striking jigged bone WCLFs, Harvey & Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

I definitely remember the song Gary! I graduated from HS in ‘72 and the song came out in early ‘73 if I remember correctly. I can say that I haven’t thought about it in awhile. It’s a timeless tune, thanks for reminding me! :)

Easy in theory but not easy in practice. I remember seeing a book a dozen or more years ago, i believe the title is "eat this not that " or something along those lines. A glycemic index is helpful for trying to figure out good carbs   no shortage of any dietary information on search engines nowadays :thumbsup:

Good advice, Rob.:thumbsup: I've done quite well on reducing calories and increasing exercise, but I still have lots of room for improvement regarding replacing bad foods with good ones!

Sounds like you're keeping busy Dylan, thanks for stoppping by :) Nice patina forming on your WCLF

Thank you, Jack. The etch is barely visible these days - comes through better on a photo than it does to the eye.

Good morning Guardians  A pair sporting bone covers.

There's certainly lots of worse choices for breakfast Ron:thumbsup: Old habits really are hard to break, just keep chipping away at them and never give up;)

You have some of the coolest old Lambsfoot knives, Rob. They are always a pleasure to see.

I have the AC with me today - it has quite the patina on it as well.

That's a shame about the etch Dylan, I'm sure Charlie looked at getting a blade stamp, as I did with Wright's. I don't know if GEC were any more enthusiastic than Wright's, but they've previously done blade stamps. Perhaps there were technical issues due to the slim Lambsfoot blade, or it wasn't viable economically just for one pattern?

The patina on your AC is really coming on, I love the way those polished blades get all the colours :) Great pic

Good Morning Guardians, hope everyone's week is going OK. I thought I'd carry my Rosewood Big 'Un today. Have a good one folks
