Welcome to the Guardians! Looks like you got a good Stag Hartshead there.Morning Guardians! This is a special post for me, on Thursday I received my first ever lambsfoot, and boy is it a special one. I was able to purchase it from an old Guardian, I don't believe he's very active anymore, but I sure am grateful to him. I couldn't be more pleased with this knife. Holding it evokes incredible emotion, the thought and care put into this knife is felt immediately upon holding it. I'm so pleased to be here, to own this beautiful example, and excited to get to know all of you more!

Fourth of July celebartions won't be the same this year, but with three young kids, we've usually got them in bed before the sun goes down and are annoyed by all the bangs keeping them awake anyways. Here's a portion of our pretty tame spread, but they're all favorites for sure. Have a wonderful day everyone!

"Science is real", despite our opinions about it.farts are made of gas molecules, which are smaller than viruses. That's why doctors advise wearing masks to reduce viral transmission, but still be able to breath.
Are those figures from your original budget for 2020, or did you do some budgetary reprioritizing when the coronavirus hit the fan??I've spent £1000 on beer since mid March, and about another £100 or so on whisky!I've still got most of the whisky

Stand-out shot, Harvey!...
PaleoValley Beef Stick goes great with Lamb.

Was the bus much different than you remembered, Jack? Fewer seats to promote social distancing, masks required, etc.? I've not returned to public transport yet, and since I only use it for trips that I've been walking for the past 4 months, I don't think I will go back to the bus on a regular basis in the foreseeable future. Thanks Rob, I christened it on the bus this morning, I think it's going to be useful for lots of stuff, made by ResproThanks buddy

I hope you had an enjoyable trip, ED, and that it didn't wear you out!Bang Bang!!Giddy-up.
Riding the Pony Express to town this morning
Actually, just driving my truck and going out to the stockyards for a bit
and then lunch at the Wagon Wheel restaurant and then home. I might even go so far as to wear my cowboy hat with my mask and tell the cashier at the Wagon Wheel to "Stick em Up"
This'll be my longest outing since coming home from the hospital.

Thanks for the encouraging words, Jack.I'm glad you found it of interest Gary, I took about 6 photos of everyone's knife and packaging. It was a bit of a chore! And thankfully they weren't needed, as every single knife made it safely to their respective Guardian
Here, we've decided to give him another chance
That's nice to hear my friend, and what a wonderful photo![]()

Thanks for the update on your "problem" knife, Bill. Sorry to hear that "if it ain't one thing, it's another."... It's a much better knife but I'm so picky that eventually I'll have to get the scales redone.

The patina on my PD big’un is quite fascinating. I think it’s a lot to do with the polished finish on the blade. The satin blades react differently! A great photo of Cracker Jack!Splendid photo, Ron!I wonder what "scenes" observers can see in the patina of your big Pere David stag lambsfoot?
Here's a pic of Cracker Jack I took yesterday (I rarely post a pic that "fresh"), and then oversaturated the color just for fun and holiday spirit:

Thanks, GT.Is that your ebony,
Yeah, my daughter is getting mine, but she might have to wait till I die!Congratulations and welcome to the Guardians.
I can't believe somebody sold a Hartshead Barlow, they are truly special.
I only have two knives in the safe that have never been used, and the Hartshead is one of them. Just too amazing and it will be a piece of history in years to come.Yeah, my daughter is getting mine, but she might have to wait till I die!![]()
I have used mine lightly, and even sharpened it, but don't want to use it on food.I only have two knives in the safe that have never been used, and the Hartshead is one of them. Just too amazing and it will be a piece of history in years to come.
Did my best to remove the image but I have been unsuccessful. I tried everything.Lambsfoot knives only.
Best to edit out the offending knife before our host sees it.
Hi John, finally got it squared away. Thanks for the heads-up. Don't know what the heck I was thinking.Lambsfoot knives only.

Thank you GT. The bolster is brass. Just add a dot com. It’s very good. As healthy as that sort of thing goes.Stand-out shot, Harvey!Does that Wm. Rodgers have a brass bolster?
I'll have to try one of those beef sticks. I like that sort of "food", although I can't imagine it could actually be good for me.![]()
Thanks for the encouragement, Harvey.
Your tricksy pic of your Moseley had me scratching my head for a minute, trying to figure out what was going on. Further reflection helped me figure it out eventually!![]()
Thank you GT.Thanks, Harvey.
Your stag HHB is a grand gem!!![]()
