Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

the scenes and numbers of the Corona virus are just frightening
I’m reminded of an old expression: “You can bring a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.” Appreciate your concern.

Thanks Harvey :) Nice doohickey  Here's one of mine
Big fan of doohickeys:D

Just had my toast and marmalade with my Charlie Lamb :)
Yummy!

The closest town of any size to me, other than Leeds itself, is Harrogate, and there's some beautiful countryside between the two.
Brilliant blog of your hiking adventure, Jack.

Thought I would choose this one today but I may switch back to my "other" lambfoot later on.

Yes Joanne was there! Lyle actually sat at Charlie’s table some of the time also. You can only imagine the wealth of knife knowledge with those two together! :D It was great to see everyone. Especially Charlie with the issues he had last year! I know this may sound strange to the ones here that know me, but deep down I’m really glad they canceled the Rendezvous. It’s just not a safe time for some of us older knife enthusiasts! :( I’m hopeful that next year will bring a much better time for us all! Your DamLamb is one more beautiful knife Jack! It’s such a treat to see it again! :)

Sounds fantastic Ron :) Yes, the start of last year was a worrying time wasn't it? Charlie has been incredible :) I know what you mean, the average age of the pre-lockdown regulars visiting my mate's tool stall is probably over 70, so I hope the older fellers stay away, and stay safe  Thank you very much my friend :)

As promised...

I'm hungry like the wolf! :D Looks great John :)

What's wrong with that?

(That's me on the right. Not a recent pic.)

:D

All the guys were wearing leisure suits back then! That's the only one I ever had. Bad decade for fashion.:p:D:cool:

Wasn't it just! :D Nice to have the memories though Vince :)

You leave the spurs at home John?! :p :D

You guys just keep on keeping on! I wasn’t going to own up to it but, I DEFINITELY HAD SOME POLYESTER BELL BOTTOM LEISURE SUITS IN THE 70’s! I had a light blue one, notice I didn’t say Baby Blue! I also had one that was a pale green plaid! I had my zippered Dingo Boots and my hair was collar length. ;) Fortunately I can’t find any photographic proof. :p Well I really didn’t look that hard! :p:eek::D:cool: I always had a knife in my pocket from ‘72 forward, but it wasn’t one like these! ;)

! Very good Ron! :D I don't know what it was like in the US, but over in England, when I was a kid in the 60's (I'm the same age as Vince), once people got married they just dressed like their parents (and their parents before them)! Then suddenly, the 60's happened! But they didn't reach Yorkshire until about 1968! :D Suddenly it went crazy, 'fashion' arrived all at once, and nobody had a clue how to dress! :D

I was always strictly a Levi jeans and jacket man, leather jacket in the winter! :D I don't have many pics, if any, but I'll see if I can find at least one

Ron, it's fantastic to see those two together :) There's quite a difference in the Ironwood, but I always really admired the few thathad the black 'veins' like in your bottom knife :)

Did you wear Hai Karate aftershave?
I did. :D

LOL! :D I never took to aftershave, but I still got bought it at Christmas. I used to give it to a friend of mine. After several years of this going on, he told me he didn't wear it either. When I asked him what he'd been doing with all the expensive after-shave I'd given him over the years, he told me it made the toilet smell nice! o_O

Couldn't wear spurs. I had to get special permission to wear the Wranglers.

LOL! :D

I was an English Leather man! :D From 1972, the year I graduated from High School. ;)

That's a very progressive advert! :D

Okay guys, this is a Lambsfoot thread. It’s getting late and we don’t need to get Jack aggravated before he retires for the evening! ;) :D

Thanks Ron! :D Who knows where this could all go  Great to see the pile sides of those two :)

Very well.

You know, I don't care much for a lot of the jigging on GEC knives, but they did a great job on the Waynorth lambsfoot.
