@r8shell That is not good, all you can do is, you do the right thing, as you said we do not want to politicize this. You take care, luckily you can work from home, which also helps keep you sane. i am lucky, i was already insane. Stay safe and look after yourself and family, and have a good week and don't work too hard.it's going to get worse before it gets better.
That IS scary, we have virtually escaped the worst of it compared to the rest of the world, but we are in the second wave, went into lockdown again last Thursday and in the last 5 days we have had more cases than in the peak 5 weeks of the first wave. So i really hope you do not go through that over there, it would decimate not only your population and morale, but your economy. This does not bear thinking about, you have a good week my friend. The bad thing here is we're still experiencing the first wave.
Very kind Jack, that is what makes the porch a stand alone place. Have a good week my friend and look after yourself.I know I'm not alone here in worrying about our old pal Dave @dc50 , who used to be a regular poster here once. Dave hasn't been here for a long time, hasn't replied to any messages, and I really did think the worst. But I just noticed Dave made a post in February, so at least he is still with us. I sure hope he'll find his way back here one day, lovely guy![]()

I’m guilty of having a Levi’s jacket and more than one pair of bell bottom Levi’s Jack! I can’t remember the number but I think they had Red Tags. When I was 18 I weighed 185 lbs and right at 6’2” tall and I liked to wear fashionable clothes. I started earning my own money at an early age. I had a paper route and then in high school I worked in a grocery store. My dad was a career railroad man so he always made a good living for us, but I did buy a lot of my own clothes. Also paid for two motorcycles before I graduated from High School. I couldn’t be more pleased with my 2019 Ironwood’s Jack. I think I got two really nice ones!! Very good Ron!
I don't know what it was like in the US, but over in England, when I was a kid in the 60's (I'm the same age as Vince), once people got married they just dressed like their parents (and their parents before them)! Then suddenly, the 60's happened!
But they didn't reach Yorkshire until about 1968!
Suddenly it went crazy, 'fashion' arrived all at once, and nobody had a clue how to dress!

I was always strictly a Levi jeans and jacket man, leather jacket in the winter!I don't have many pics, if any, but I'll see if I can find at least one
Ron, it's fantastic to see those two togetherThere's quite a difference in the Ironwood, but I always really admired the few thathad the black 'veins' like in your bottom knife

LOL!I never took to aftershave, but I still got bought it at Christmas. I used to give it to a friend of mine. After several years of this going on, he told me he didn't wear it either. When I asked him what he'd been doing with all the expensive after-shave I'd given him over the years, he told me it made the toilet smell nice!

I miss him too and think of him often.I know I'm not alone here in worrying about our old pal Dave @dc50
Downhill!I still have one hanging up on my coat rack Ron, though I think it's been worn about once in the past 15 yearsRed Tags! They were the best buddy
I was about the same size at 15, though I didn't get any bigger for a long time!
My Levi 501s had a 30" waist until I was about 42, but it's been downhill since then!

I never had pocket money Ron, started delivering newspapers at 11, seven days a week, until I started full-time work at 16. My (paternal) grandfather was on the railroads, though he worked on the line. He had been been a builder before WW2 (HE started part-time work at 5, and full-time work at 7). I used to buy my own clothes and footwear too, and bought my first motorcycle, a Kawasaki KH250, when I was 17. By that age I had already left home. We have plenty in common my friend
