Good morning Guardians! My Lambsfoot for today is my Ironwood big ‘un!Y’all stay safe out there!
![]()
And on the other subject of the day, guess which one I drink!![]()
![]()
I’ve never seen the Gold, but the Red is readably available here in SE Tennessee!![]()
![]()
That's good to hear... A Busy Jack is a Happy Jack.we've been busy today too
His spirit will always remain.Looks like that Ironwood is darkening, hope you don't lose Skoll
Thanks Jack! I feel your discomfort my friend! It’s going to be 95F with a heat index of 103F here today!Great choices RonI don't see the Gold all that often either, probably on account of Yorkshiremen being so tight-fisted!

Definitely not a day for lugging heavy Costco orders around today...
![]()
I did get more stocks in though!![]()

I love seeing those ACs, beautiful knife. Good luck this year, I'm sure there's a lot of a new challenges to an already busy job.
I should probably do the same, we're about at the point where our weeds are big enough that they're part of the garden
What a looker, gorgeous knife!
Mexican sounds good, enchiladas were on the show I watched last night, now you mention this, I think I know what's for dinner.![]()
That’s the cream of the crop right there!Morning Guardians. Just dropping by to show off my new baby. I've been trying to track down a Waynorth Lamb and kept having the door shut in my face. I had to trade away a nice knife, but this is so worth it. Now my Hartshead has some good company

LOL!
I’ve just got one question Jack! How many dang cups of tea does the average Yorkshireman drink a day??

The weeds, the grass, everything is over grown due to the rain we've have over the past few weeks. Got to get my lawn mowed for sure. Next will come the shrubs - boy do they need pruning!![]()

Wow! We try to keep our house between 72F and 77F. With the strain on the AC and depending on the temp outside and the humidity! I think it's all relevant to what a person gets used to! It's probably rare that those temps get that high in your area. I don't have a tea every day, but I do have a minimum of 2 - 3 cups of coffee each day! Thanks Ron, I had to look that phrase up, heat is so rare here, we probably fail in terms of vocabularyIt was 96f in my hallway earlier, but as my house is south-facing, it's a good deal hotter in the living room
Some Yorkshiremen, never stop drinking tea Ron!
By comparison, (though I'm just having a cup now), I usually only drink 2 or 3 cups a day - I make up for the failing by drinking Yorkshire beer instead!

I think I have enough tea in to last me well into the middle of next year

By the way Jack, when I do drink a cup tea, this is my favorite biscuit or cookie to have with it. From Belgium.

Good morning, Guardians! Today I'm back with Jelly again. Don't know why, but I'm always amazed what a fantastic slicer she is!
![]()
And she's got quite a snap as well! Some idiot got his finger in the way trying to set up the photo!

Y'all have a good day!
I figured you’d probably had the Lotus biscuits before.Very sensible Ron, domestic AC is a very recent thing here, largely because it's been rarely needed. I bought a couple of powerful air-purifiers a couple of months back, so I have one of those behind me, a large fan to the left of me, and a desk fan to the right of me!Currently I am drinking 1-2 cups of coffee a day, but I like very strong coffee (currently using an Aeropress)
I like those biscuits too Ron, they always remind me of travelling in Europe, where virtually every cafe serves a couple with coffee. When travelling I tend not to drink tea at all, but I drink a LOT of coffee

My mate with the tool-stall bought a very large consignment of catering tea-bags, which were over six inches long! You were supposed to put one in a tea-urn, but he put one in a tea-pot!
![]()
He bought so many that they lasted several years, but he's recently run out unfortunately. I'm surprised he hasn't had tannin poisoning!

I figured you’d probably had the Lotus biscuits before.Believe it or not we had our first experience with them on Southwest Airlines. I also like my coffee on the strong side and always black. Your Hartshead looks good in any kind of photo Jack!

Ha!Is your mate from the tool stall the tattooed fella whose wedding you attended a couple years ago, or is that a different mate?
It’s 70°F and rainy here. England weather. Not that I’m bragging or anything.
![]()
When I was in high school, before those were common over here (or at least before I’d ever seen them anywhere), I had a friend whose dad worked for a Belgian company. Whenever he traveled to Belgium around Christmas time, he would bring back these packages of speculoos in the shape of Saint Nicolas. We called them “Pope cookies.”
![]()
Here’s a recycled photo related to the recent topic of conversation. I haven’t been able to find Yorkshire tea around here, so I buy this one instead.
![]()
I don’t normally drink hot beverages in the summer, but seeing as it’s fairly cool out today, a cup of builder’s tea actually sounds pretty good.![]()
British and Irish grandmothers are fond of saying that you should have a hot drink when the weather is warm, TO COOL YOU DOWN!I'm not sure if there is any actual science behind that, but I prefer to cool down with a cold pint!
