Nice to see your Hartshead Barlow DavidWhat do you use those little fellers for?
Great pics Dan, hope you had a lovely walk
Always a good choice Ron![]()
I love the way you've taken that pic Joshua, and the patina, the colours on the carbon steel are great when it first starts forming![]()
Superb photos Dan![]()
Looks like a solid user!Great to see you here Mark, how're you doing buddy?
How're things with you Dennis, hope you're managing OK my friend, it's great to have you here?![]()
Good Morning Guardians, hope everyone has had a good week. Great to see Mark and Dennis call inA dull day here, with some rain forecast, and a lot more over the weekend. With the lockdown rules here in Leeds, travel restricted, and rotten weather forecast, I'm not sure what I'll be able to do over the weekend. I usually meet up with my best pal on Fridays, but we can't meet up today, even outdoors
I'm sure I can find plenty of chores to do though
Have a good Friday Guartdians

Very nice photos DavidVery atmospheric shots there Dan.
Crowd control.
Great shot Jack. Your HHB looks like it's resting on the world's biggest pork scratchings.
Ooo! Ooo! Were going to have one of them soon!
Looks complicated.Using metric as well.
A Yorkshire lambsfoot. A Lancashire sausage roll.

Jose, great photo of your rosewood HHB
Your HHB looking good Jack!Looks like cable armouring that's been there a few decades. My guess is that it's been stripped off copper cable, which was then weighed in for scrap, with the worthless steel sheath dumped in the woods![]()
Nice photo Dan, hope you can go another few weeks without the white stuff![]()
I wish I could send you some of ours Taylor, supposed to get a month's worth today![]()
Hope you get some R 'n' R this weekend Chuck
Good Morning Guardians! Too wet to go out for a hike today, and with the lockdown restrictions here, I'm a bit stuck for what to do. Can't meet indoors, can't meet outdoors...Maybe I'll go and hit my boiler, which is currently making a racket like a swarm of wasps over-revving their tiny wasp car-engines, with my new hammer!

Have a good weekend Guardians, and stay safe out there

Yes, fall is nice. The weather folks are calling for a nice and long autumn this yearSpooky!! Love Autumn/Fall. We need rain here in California though.
Nice photo Dan, hope you can go another few weeks without the white stuff![]()

Thank you, Jack! I like how the etch is done on the lambsfoot knives. It doesn't disappear right away and offer a neat effect when the patina starts forming.
Your HHB looking good Jack!Hope your boiler is OK. Our restrictions here in NC aren't too bad. We can meet indoors and out doors. Need to wear a mask, practice social distancing, etc. Some areas of our country are doing better than others. Your walks sound invigorating; keep it up.

Good morning Guardians and all. Overcast today here in coastal NC but at least it isn't raining. Some indoor projects today I think. Going to emulateJack Black and go for a "hike" . Have my HHB in the pocket today.

Thanks Jack! I’ve been carrying the wood big’uns more lately. I was looking this PD big’un over before I dropped it in my pocket. I had forgotten just how well this one is made. It may be a second but the f&f is definitely first quality.Good to see it Ron![]()

I hate to hear about the lockdown Jack!Rotten weather here today, and we're locked-down, but I worked out that I could still take my girlfriend and her adult daughter out for lunch, as they're in my "social bubble"We headed for a supposedly up-market pub turned restaurant on the edge of Leeds. What a mistake!
Our first two choices were "off", the first indication that they have a microwave engineer rather than a chef
We eventually got what was supposed to be a curry, which was not only rubbish, but the portion size was pathetic. I thought they might have brought us child's portions by mistake!

This pitiful excuse for a meal (X3), plus a pint of beer and 2 Cokes came to a couple of Pounds shy of £50!! Bad service too
I'm glad I had a pie in the fridge, as I was famished by the time I got back home![]()

They look really great Vince.![]()

I hate to hear about the lockdown Jack!It sounds like the lunch was really a bummer. It certainly doesn’t look very appetizing!
The meal you prepared yourself looked delicious.

You did get some really nice knives that only had some minor imperfections Jack. I for one am thankful!Big 'Un's a good size RonYeah, we got a few bargains from that Seconds pile
Better that they came here than scoundrels selling them as 'Firsts' on Fleabay!
After Wright's changed hands, I was told they were going to stop selling Seconds out of the back door, but from what I saw, they just started selling them out of the front!

Thanks pal, a real waste of time and moneyA lot of restaurants are struggling to survive here at the moment, and I feel sorry for the good ones, but there are an awful lot that I certainly wouldn't miss
Thanks my friend, probably cost about £2.50! And the service was better!
