Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you very much Ron, great to see your TEW, we've not seen one in a while :)

Thought I'd have a piece of fruit-cake with my afternoon cuppa :)

Thanks Jack! Enjoy your afternoon cuppa and fruit-cake! :)

Hey Guardians , no lambsfoot pictures today, just a couple pics of our walk last evening.
Sunset is rapidly moving earlier and earlier each day and I miscalculated the time it would take us to get back to the car.
Dark clouds also rolled in and it started to rain.
I managed to take these two pics before it got complete dark.
The white swans seemed to glow in the dusk.

What do you use those little fellers for?

Crowd control. :(

Great shot Jack. Your HHB looks like it's resting on the world's biggest pork scratchings. :D

Ooo! Ooo! Were going to have one of them soon!:eek::(

Good morning party people, it's Friday!

LOL! :D :)

It's one of oodles I haven't read, but at a glance it looks worth reading. It looks more balanced than the old, all patriotic saints and martyrs on our side and all tyrannical fiends on your side. There's a chapter on "Arms and the Men" which looks particularly interesting.

Not quite arisen yet, but soon. Still getting my spirit prepared.

Sounds good Jer :) The British don't generally come out of history looking too good! :D

Thanks Jack! Enjoy your afternoon cuppa and fruit-cake! :)

Thanks pal, it was all going well...until some work came in! Took me 4 hours to do, and I've only just finished. No time for the pie I had planned, so I just heated up some homemade chilli, and had it with bruschetta (which I've never done before). In my haste the Barlow fell in

Hopefully it’ll just add some more character to the patina Jack! :)

What are they?:oops::oops::oops:

Looks like cable armouring that's been there a few decades. My guess is that it's been stripped off copper cable, which was then weighed in for scrap, with the worthless steel sheath dumped in the woods o_O

On our late evening walk today ..... an omen of the unspeakable to come

Nice photo Dan, hope you can go another few weeks without the white stuff ;)

Spooky!! Love Autumn/Fall. We need rain here in California though.

I wish I could send you some of ours Taylor, supposed to get a month's worth today

Similar to yesterday’s picture, busy learning a new program at work so I’m stuck at my desk.

Hope you get some R 'n' R this weekend Chuck

Good Morning Guardians! Too wet to go out for a hike today, and with the lockdown restrictions here, I'm a bit stuck for what to do. Can't meet indoors, can't meet outdoors...o_O Maybe I'll go and hit my boiler, which is currently making a racket like a swarm of wasps over-revving their tiny wasp car-engines, with my new hammer! o_O Have a good weekend Guardians, and stay safe out there :)

Good to see they left the material that will break down organically.

Bearing in mind it's right next to a public footpath (part of the 'Dales Way' link from Leeds), and only half a mile from a road, I'm surprised it's still there, and not been cleaned up o_O
