I was using clay balls Dwight, mud essentially! :D

They don't shoot as well as steel, but I don't like to clutter up the countryside, and the clay balls partially fragment into dust on hitting the target, and are gone with the first rain or morning dew. Also leave a mark, so you can see how you're shooting

Fantastic pic my friend, those are great colours :)

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a nice weekend. The weather here is a heck of a lot nicer than it was yesterday, but I think I'm going to be stuck indoors, catching up with household chores. Hope the rest of you have something more fun planned ;) Enjoy your Sunday Guardians

A few pics from my walk out in the woods today :) Seemed the best place to stay out of the rain showers, and we were home by the time it really came down ;)

We were joined by a mother and her kids. Nice to see young 'uns out in the woods, but after 30 minutes of them playing around directly behind my target, it was time to move on. There's only 700 acres of woodland there, so bound to get crowded right?!

I've posted pics of this spring the last time I was in these woods.

This spring is known as Dog's Mouth Spring, but the reason for the name is even less obvious than it was in the past. Not sure what kind of dog that was supposed to be

Thank you Dan, I wish I had been able to capture all the beautiful colours better. I was in some of those woods just a few weeks back, and it is fascinating to see how much they've changed since then :)

Jack, very nice photos. I like that canteen - looks to be very handy and well made. Your skill with the sling shot is right on:D

Good morning Guardians and all. My favorite all-round knife is with me today. Background is an alabaster chess board that I obtained on my honeymoon in Mexico 44 years ago.

Thanks Bill, I have had that canteen about 15 years now, but looked after it :) It is based on the original 1890 Swiss Army design, though that had a cork stopper and an aluminium cup. It only holds a pint, but it's OK for a short trip out, or to supplement another. I've also filled it with wine a few times, it holds a bottle just nicely! :D

Very stylish Bill :)

Jack, fantastic outdoor pictures along with the lambsfoot models and slingshots shown in great action.

Dwight, nice to hear that Gage has a cornerback position. High school football just recently started back up around here, then 7 inches of snow in one day last week put a hold on that...

"You can take my planet, but never my Hartshead Barlow" :)

Thanks a lot pal :) Brilliant photo! :D

I carried your parcel down to the central post office last week. Stuck on the 'Air Mail' sticker, customs declaration, priority postage barcode, return address, 'Handle With Care' label. Forgot to put the address on!! o_O This week my friend

The streak begins! Hopefully I can have some variety of pictures, too. Starting with the very humble plain picture today.

Looking forward to this Joshua :) Nice start

Wow! Those Heartsheads are looking Sharp everyone!

This gorgeous Knife has been in my latest rotation and in my pocket for the last three weeks, I remember vividly Jack gifting me this wonderful Arthurs Choice in a Cafe in York- it was a Damp morning but the Sun shone very brightly for me that day, Jack- once again a MASSIVE thank you for this stunner.
I love carrying this Knife- I use it in my job so often, its also a pleasure to see the guys in the Workshops stop and really appreciate a great Knife when they see one.
This one here I use all too often bagging a Car in the Spraybooths just before I train any specialty Colours to the Painters etc.
LOVE IT!!!!
The last few days here have been hot- I had my Pal accompany me in the Garden today..
